Re: CinemaNow and Rovi launch beta at home D2D service

That's weird. I was able to get Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill vols. 1&2 in HD and Reservoir Dogs in SD.

The HDs show up as HDX on Vudu.

I would email CinemaNow saying that the movies you bought before Ultra-Violet launched didn't automatically export to your Ultra-Violet account. I did this for Prometheus that I got for free from a code that is on the internet and they gave me a movie specific code for Prometheus and it showed up in my Ultra-Violet account.

Just upgraded to Mountain Lion and the app still says i have no movies in my library and still does not recognize Reservoir Dogs. I have the Special Edition 2 disc dvd, the first disc (ws) gives me a spinning wheel, the second disc (fs) says its a bonus disc and is not available for D2D.

I've found the app won't list anything in your Library until you download a video from the CinemaNow website, then only that video is listed. It seems the Library is for the movies currently downloaded to your PC, not the movies in the CinemaNow server.

Nope. Mine shows my whole library. Sometimes I have to hit the refresh button, but they all show, including the non-uv ones. I am on Mountain Lion. It's one of only 3 places I can see my library (my Iphone and my Samsung BD player are the others).

The CinemaNow Player for the Windows PC which I'm running only has a Library Tab with no refresh button.

Yes. The PC doesn't show anything as far as I can tell. I'm not even sure why they have a library tab? The post you originally quoted was talking about a Mac so I though you were referring to the Mac CN player, which does show your library. That Vudu home D2D can't come soon enough

It does show videos currently loaded on the PC. When you delete the video the library stops listing that file. That's why I posted my finding, unsure if it might work that way also on a MAC.

Based on your description I'm now wondering if what I'm seeing may just be a bug in the PC version, and not the way the developers intended the app to function.

I just tried the PC version and neither one shows my library. I refreshed and uninstalled the Mac and PC versions multiple times and neither shows my library.

On the bright side the PC version now lets me D2D Reservoir Dogs to SD, I will pass on that. HD/HDX only for me .

Wow, I'm glad I didn't spend the money to upgrade. I did finally get the Rovio player installed on an old WinXP machine, and that computer recognizes LOTR:TTT (Extended) as the regular version, at least, so I finally had my first opportunity to convert a disc. I may do a few others, but I'll wait on that one until I can get it recognized as the extended edition.

That seems to be one of the bugs with the beta. It doesn't recognize extended, director's cut or unrated editions correctly. It recognizes them as the standard version.

Good to know it's not just me...I mean, I know it's in beta, but if they list the extended versions, there should be some way to get them.

Won't read my Coraline 2 disc Collectors Edition dvd/bluray combo dvd disc. Oh well I can take the blu to walmart or wait until vudu's D2D.

Out of curiosity, is there anyone else out there who has lost their HDX rights to CONTAGION in their Vudu collection after going through the process of redeeming through CinemaNow? In my Ultraviolet locker, I still have rights to both SD and HD versions of the film. This just happened to me in the last couple of days...
