I have not had a chance to try a conversion yet, but I did download the software and I have to say that Vudu is far superior over its competition. I have over 900 movies in my collection and they loaded without any problems or delay. Unlike the competition that never loads my library or only loads a portion. I can only imagine that the D2D to will be just as good. I think I mifgr need to leave the office early

    Color me impressed thus far.

I have a stack of DVDs/Blu-Rays lying around that didn't work for Cinemanow. I just tried four of them:

    Quick Change
    Runaway Bride
    Thunderbirds
    United 93

All were DVDs. Each one worked perfectly. And I agree with the previous comment that the shopping cart is a huge step from the one at a time process. Well done!

We are aware it is going to get out there. I assume Engadget will pick up on it with in the hour. Lets think of it more as throttling, with any new release you could always have issues, a smaller release allows us time to address those.

We should be doing a full roll out very soon. Keep the feedback rolling in though, it is good for us to read.

    Thank you.

Thank you vudu for the app. The Press release said MGM was going to be a partner, when will they be available?

It should work on a Windows VM. If you are using an external USB drive you may have to have the drive plugged in before the VM boots but other than that it worked fine for me.

Done 5 so far, not disappointed. ^_^Can't wait until I get home to play with my bluray drive. I brought dvds to work and my laptop in case it launched today.

Got the email, installed, and converted two titles to HDX:

    PRIVATE PARTS (WARNER) (1972)
    POINT BLANK (WARNER) (1967)

Two films on your D2D conversion list that I tried, however, would not convert. It said something like "Error in selecting conversion format." These were:

    THE EIGER SANCTION (Universal)
    THE PARALLAX VIEW (Paramount)

    I'll try them again later.

Thanks for randomly selecting me as one of the first! It's going to be a very long, and very expensive, night for me!

If only it was for Mac right now too...but hey I still need to buy an external Blu-Ray disc drive so I can actually convert the discs I own.

Guess my brother (who has the majority of the Blu-Ray discs, along with a PC and Blu-Ray drive) will have to take the brunt of the responsibility on this for now...

To quote McDonald's, "I'm lovin' it!" Just did 2 DVDs and 2 Blu-rays without a hitch, and the shopping cart is a slick touch compared to CinemaNow and Flixster (insert disc, add to cart, eject and repeat, then click to pay for them all at once).

My wife will be cursing the name "VUDU" because I'm about to spend a small fortune with you guys... LOL

I'd rather a great product then a forced jumbled half *** "I got to meet a deadline" product.... I say take you're time and give a flawless D2D app so that when it does come out we can talk about how great it is, then how buggy it is.
