Re: Flixster has Disc to Digital Beta

Thanks Swiss21...if you get a chance to check, what version does it say that is? I am wondering if it's a specific version, or maybe many version of the app have the capability but it only allows it with certain configurations.

Does your computer have a DVD drive installed? Maybe the link won't show up if your computer does not have one.

Maybe it's something to do with when they downloaded it. I was at work yesterday and couldn't download until I got home that night. Probably around 8pm Pacific time and there was no functionality when I downloaded. Has anyone who downloaded it today gotten it to work?

I think the 1.7.1.153 windows version of the program has the functionality included but when you sign in to your account it checks if you've been granted access to the Beta, if yes you see the option, and if no the option is not displayed.

CinemaNow atleast actually states participation limited.

Re: Flixster has Disc to Digital Beta

That's an interesting theory but I don't think Flixster would be inept enough to continue listing information about their Disc-to-Digital program if the participation was limited... right?

I'm guessing that they discovered something was broken on Thursday or Friday and turned that functionality off with new installs until they could figure out.

Out of curiousity, has anybody fortunate enough to have this working tried to convert any of those early Ultraviolet titles from WB in Flixster's Disc-to-Digital? I'm curious if these titles are available in HD through them as well. Titles like...

                        CONTAGION
                        CRAZY STUPID LOVE
                        GREEN LANTERN
HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS, PART 2
                        HORRIBLE BOSSES
                        JUSTICE LEAGUE: DOOM
                        THE HANGOVER PART 2

HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS, PART 2 does appear to be eligible for Disc to Digital, but I can't verify quality because the program tells me You already own this movie, <insert title> is already in your collection.

It's only a few days left until the end of January, so the vudu D2D has to come out before Thursday I think. Just wait till then.

                              Now this is interesting...

                              http://flixster.desk.com/customer/po...sc-to-digital-

                              It was updated THIS morning.

I just tried downloading the app and I couldn't get the button to come up either. Curious though that they revised the message this morning.

This looks the same as it did the other day... I see today's date but the language looks the same and it's still pointing to an application that doesn't offer this functionality. What was changed?
