For some reason I thought it was only SD. Oh well. It was a free credit I had nothing to use on so no big loss.

Someone posted this on another forum. It's the flixster d2d list. Why does the worst of the home d2d services get the back to the future titles while the best (vudu) hasn't majorly updated thier universal, Warner and paramount titles in half a year.

Doesn't warner own flixster? Could be a reason why they would limit Vudu's selection. Just a guess.

Does anyone have a good idea of which titles are Flixster exclusives when it comes to D2D besides Back To The Future, Gremlins 1 and 2, Jackass: The Movie, Jurassic Park, and The Long Kiss Goodnight?

I noted these because I've tried to convert all of them in the past but none show up on Vudu's list.

American Beauty is also on Flixster's D2D list but not Vudu or CinemaNow. Its odd because that seems to be the only DreamWorks title I can find on any of the D2D services.

there are several Dreamworks on d2d, Shrek, How to train your dragon etc. Dreamworks Animation may be different though.

Dreamworks Animation and plain old Dreamworks have been considered separate entities for quite a while now.

Re: Flixster has Disc to Digital Beta

I'm having no luck with the app on my laptop. I have the Disc to Digital (beta) tab and click on it and it tells me to insert a dvd movie to continue. Doesn't detect anything I put into my disc drive.
I would try to mess with it more but don't think I got any credits and probably wouldn't use it beyond that since I like the vudu one.

Gremlins movies are uv? I may try to find a DVD to get those. I wonder if they'll show in vudu?

                        Good question.

They're available for D2D with Flixster, implying they are UV, but Vudu may not have the rights to stream it.

Too bad I upgraded my Gremlins to BD already or I'd test it. I'll have to see if someone has one I can borrow.

There are a number of title is flixsters disc to digital list but when you put it in they tell you it is not. Back to the future trilogy is on the list but they want you to pay $10 for it in sd. I tried dozens on the list and no go. Will stick with cinemanow and vudu.

I had the same results with Back to the Future. As a matter of fact, when I tried Back to the Future 2 and 3, they came up as unavailable for D2D and asked if I wanted to be notified when they became available. So they're on the list as available, but really are not.

Oddly I had the same problem with my Lord of the Rings (Theatrical) DVDs. I figured I would use my credits to convert those, but again they came up as unavailable. Two of the three movies didn't even come up at all.

So far my experience is MUCH better with the VUDU app. Even CinemaNow seems to work better. It's a shame, Flixster really has been good to me so far but I am very disappointed with their Beta.

Same issue with Despicable Me. On the list but then says not available for D2D.
