Early adopters IN LUCK with UV! Flixster upgraded SD movies to HDX!

I had previously redeemed Horrible Bosses and Crazy Stupid Love with codes from BD purchases only for them to redeem in SD. As many of you know dealing with WB or Flixster on this matter was not very helpful to say the least.

I emailed WB via their digital copy support page anyway and asked if they could upgrade my SD versions to HD. Their first response was usual 'we're working on it deal'. So I emailed them again yesterday and asked if they knew when a solution would be found. And VOILA! I got an email today that read:

We've entered in the HD titles into your movie locker for Horrible Bosses and Crazy, Stupid, Love.
We appreciate your patience and thank you for contacting us.

I hope this information will be helpful to those in the same situation. I forgot to include Harold and Kumar so I'll be emailing them about this as well.

This gives hope to those that wish to upgrade their current WB SD to titles HD since WB won't allow more than one code to be used for the same title. What I'll be doing is providing them with the HD code and then asking that they upgrade them in their system. We'll see how that goes.

For anyone trying their luck with this make sure you go via WB customer support ONLY and NOT flixster support. I got mine changed this way. Some posting here might have gotten denied from the flixster side of things. They might be one and the same but that's how I went about it.

Hmmm...I will have to reply to them again.

They appear to have auto-updated some of these.

My copies of Justice League: Doom and Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows have both been upgraded from "Standard definition" to "Standard and high definition" in my Ultraviolet locker without any prompting on my end, but Horrible Bosses and Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part II are still only "Standard definition.

None of my 6 titles have auto-updated. I emailed them again last night and will see what happens.

I just created a new work order for the only two WB titles I still need to get HD rights for (CRAZY STUPID LOVE, JUSTICE LEAGUE: DOOM). I already paid to convert the others through CinemaNow.

I asked last night about A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas that I had forgotten and they responded at 1:20am this morning saying it had been upgraded to HD. Easy as pie!!!

They upgraded two of mine today. I just did two to test it but plan to go through and find out the countless other I have. They didn't ask for my code so would I'd wait a like a month and try again. Maybe you'll get someone different who will just upgrade it without the hassle.

When I put my request in I gave them the codes that I used to redeem. It makes sense that they would ask for some proof, but then again you obviously used a code to redeem them. Don't know why they can't pull up the code information themselves.

I would do what an earlier person said and contact them again to see if you get a different rep to help you out. Or point out/emphasize the fact that it's not your fault it didn't redeem right to begin with and that you threw away your codes.

I got denied on my request.

Here's what I wrote in my work order...

"Hi, guys. Is it possible to get the following WB titles in my collection upgraded from SD to HD?

                            CRAZY STUPID LOVE
                            JUSTICE LEAGUE: DOOM

I redeemed the UV codes when they were first released and received standard definition rights. I would love to have high definition rights so I can enjoy these movies in higher quality. "

                            Here's the response I got...

                            <<

Movie playback on Flixster is currently not supported in HD. As UltraViolet continues to grow, you will most likely see expanded service to more devices and formats.

You can currently watch your HD UltraViolet digital content through VUDU (http://www.vudu.com).

                            Jonathan >>

I swear to God... It's like these people don't take the time to READ these work orders before they close them.
