Haven't any idea, I'm not a tech. This is this laptop I've been trying to get this to work on, purchased in March.

That laptop does have an Intel chipset. I would download the updated SetupRST.exe file and try installing it to see if it resolves the issue. The updated EXE file can be found via this link:

      https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...T)%22&lang=eng

EDIT: According to the Sony web site, for your model laptop, it would appear you have version 11.5.3.1004 installed by default. It's been documented that version 11.6.0.1030 causes issues with VuduToGO and it's very likely 11.5.3.1004 could be too. The newer version should hopefully resolve this issue.

Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

I've seen a couple people having problems getting his to work on laptops. Normally I use a desktop. But when my PC crapped out earlier this month, I switched over to my laptop for a couple days.

I couldn't get this to work with my laptop's internal DVD drive. Even though the drive worked fine, the Vudu software wouldn't recognize any of the discs. But when I attached an external USB BD/DVD drive, the software started working.

So if you're having problems with a laptop, try an external drive and see if it works.

Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

Here are the titles I have had issues with (most are being looked at in a case I have open, but thought it would be worth noting here)

Midway Blu Ray not recognized at all (and this is actually the only movie I wanted to see, because flixster does not recognize blu-rays and my DVD has gone MIA)

X-men origins wolverine actually gives an internet connection error message (the only title that has given that message so far) It was a previously rented Blu-ray, not sure if that matters.

All three LoTR Extended edition Blu-rays come up as fellowship and return of the king (multiple choice) standard editions

Kelly's Heroes Blu-ray from the two pack set (Kelly's Heroes and Where eagles dare) comes up saying it is either unforgiven/heartbreak ridge/million dollar baby. I see on the conversion list, only the DVD is shown so maybe this is a fluke? I have the DVD also, so I converted that to HDX.

Hopefully they can fix the Midway and LoTR soon, I really want those.

When trying to do the in home disc to digital with Dance with Me DVD (1998) getting a message that reads, There was a problem while verifying this disc. Now if I take this same disc to Flixster or Cinema Now I can to the transfer this is an issue exclusive to Vudu needs to be fixed.

The Girl Next Door (2004) DVD. Error reading disc. I used Cinemanow instead and it imports as The Girl Next Door (1953). I haven't watched either yet, but I'm guessing they are 2 very different movies

I had the same issue with Girl Next Door, would not read with Vudu to Go so redeemed using Cinemanow. On vudu it shows the 1952 version on Cinemanow it is the 2004 version.

Just so you know, I converted Midway using a DVD on Flixster (I only opted for SD). It works well using Vudu on my Xbox, but is listed as unsupported on PC, and is also not supported on Android. I have a case open on that. (Someone in Vudu customer care tried to tell me that PC and Android support are somehow linked, but I found out that's not the case, nor is it a license issue...Ultraviolet really does mean anytime, anywhere, on any device. If Vudu has the rights to a film, and they do for Midway, then they should have it for all devices.). It seems to be an encoding issue on Vudu's end...I hope to find out soon.

Daredevil (Director's Cut) Blu Ray comes up as Theatrical.

Twixt (Blu Ray): Manually verify (nothing shocking there. It was just released today. I'm surprised it's already eligible for d2d)

Gamer 3D Blu Ray: Manually Verify.

Problem is that you never ever receive an update on these messages even though they say they will notify you once it's available.

Yeah, I know, but I'll keep trying until Aug 31, to get the discount. I only started all this about a month ago, but I see that you've been reporting bugs since February. I also have the same problem with "The Fly 2" which keeps coming up as "The Fly" so they haven't fixed that one yet...it's been 6 months!

I would suggest you watch the film. I converted "The Maltese Falcon" (Bogart) successfully using Vudu-to-Go, but when I looked on Flixster, it shows the earlier version of the film. However, when I play it on Flixster (or Vudu) it shows the correct, Bogart, version. It might just be the cover art they're showing.

I decided to take your advice and play it. It's most definitely the wrong version
