Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

My Batman 1989 disc is not recognized. It is from from the anthology dvd set. Ironically, the rest of the titles were recognized a couple weeks ago in Cinemanow, but the Batman disc was not.

Only one issue I ran into so far
The Change Up Unrated bluray from blu/dvd/digital pack
Needs to be verified by vudu.

Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

I was able to successfully buy 28 films. I did get a few that wouldn't work/recognize/had to be manually checked.

all of the following are blu-rays

Starship Troopers - kept giving me a message saying couldn't find info and that maybe I wasn't connected to the internet (only film that received this)

Movies that needed to manually verified by VUDU
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (box set)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (box set)
              TMNT (box set)
              TMNT - single release
.....all of these Turtle films kept being recognized as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II - Secret of the Ooze...
Scooby-Doo 2 (part of family pack)

Movies that are Recognized but is supposedly not part of the D2D program (even though you can take them to WalMart and are on the list)
              Despicable Me
              Kung Fu Panda 2
              Puss in Boots
              Sucker Punch

              DVDs:

Send Me No Flowers....was not recognized. This is was part of a collection of three films (Doris Day/Rock Hudson collection). This was on the same disc as Lover Come Back (which did work).

Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

I found a nice bug... My DVD copy of Superman Returns is recognised as the Blu-ray copy. I've been a good boy and not redeemed it. Other than that it seems a common theme as far as Boxsets go but my Blu-ray Alien Anthology Boxset has a few problems.

Alien shows fine (as theatrical cut)
                    Aliens shows as Alien Resurrection
Alien 3 shows as Alien Resurrection
Alien Resurrection shows fine. (As Theatrical cut)

Also my Robin Hood Prince of thieves disc is showing as Robin Hood from 1971.

On the whole though I'm pretty happy with what's been recognised so far. My gangs of NewYork Dvd has got to be manually checked along with a few others but for a very early beta that's to be expected. Already the best Disc to Digital home service available. A big thankyou to the Vudu team, one very happy customer here!

We have the report that the Box Set has issue to report correctly to every single title.
Is there any reason that you got the disc from a box set instead of retail version?

                        Hi,

Please answer some of my questions:
                        - Accross the Universe: Do you see Windows Explorer can read the Volume name? Video_TS ... ?
                        - The Fog + Resident E: communication error issue should be fixed in a week.
                        - The Cider House: if you search our www.vudu.com for the movie you would see it doesn't have UV logo. We can't convert those titles.

                        Thanks,
                        LLN

I am connected to the internet, but I know when I click add disc my disc drive light does not light up, the screen says reading the drive but I still get that message. I am sure this will get fixed or I might just uninstall and reinstall the software. I did update the adobe air that popped up when I reopened the app.
Still this will be better than wal mart, I had to wait like 15 minutes to day for someone just to come to the photo center.
Thanks for trying. We have a fix for the "communication error" and expect to roll it out in a week.

Please try again next week after Tuesday 02/12. We need to test more.

                            Thanks!
                            Thanks for using our service.

I think the TOC we read from the discs which came from Box Set/Collection are the same for entire collection. We will try to see what we can do from our end but if the DVD/BD were pressed to provide us the same info then we can't do much.

Please tell us which title in the list that you don't think it came from collection/box set.

                            Thanks,
                            LLN

Star Treks 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and Insurrection all come up as Star Trek 2 (Theatrical)

Spiderman 2 comes up as Spiderman 3

All of the Lethal Weapons come up as Lethal Weapon 1 - Plus, selecting HDX from the Blu-ray for LW1, it comes up SD in the order summary, although it checks out as HDX

Hook (91) from BD to HDX comes up as SD in checkout

Batman (89) and Batman Returns both come up as Beetlejuice

Pee Wee's Big Adventure comes up as BeetleJuice

Also, when you have a title already in your locker in SD (in this case Scarface) and you put the blu-ray in to upgrade, it basically treats it like a DVD instead of a BD ($5 to buy instead of $2 to upgrade). It even says "Scarface - DVD" in the order summary

Catch Me if You Can comes up as Forrest Gump DVD

War of the Roses Blu-ray comes up as War of the Roses DVD

The Departed comes up as Blazing Saddles and says its not eligible

Hitchcock's Rear Window comes up as Frenzy DVD

Frenzy Blu-ray comes up as Frenzy DVD
                              Hi,

For those titles which got wrong match esp. "BeetleJuice" and "Blazing Saddles", do you have some doubt that those could be pirate or bootleg DVD?

                              Thanks,
