Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

I've been using an internal DVDR drive and an external BD drive alternately with a pretty good success rate.

The only bugs I encountered tonight...

THE FOG (2005) - Disc Not Recognized

xXx: State Of The Union - Disc Not Recognized (This title is on the Disc-to-Digital list but is not searchable on Vudu. I'm guessing it may have been pulled for a re-encode?)

The Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection on BD - Many of the titles in here, like VERTIGO, coming up as a different title when scanned.

My copy of Doctor Strangelove came up as 2001 A space Odyssey

Just keep getting "Waiting for disc...Insert a disc at any time to continue."

It doesn't matter if it's a new disk, old one, UV lock, non UV locker, on D2D list, not on D2D list. Everything just keeps the drive spinning and message on screen.

        Help !
It might be a similar issue to what I encountered. If I put a disc in the drive and then clicked the Add film button, then I had the eternal spinning green waiting for disc symbol too. However it works fine as long as I first click add film, THEN insert a disc in the drive to be read. Hopeful you've just had the same minor issue.

Yeah, it seems a lot if not all of the sets are only coming up as the original or first movie in the set. I'm trying to convert "The Fly 2" but it comes up as "The Fly" which I don't want converted.

Taken (theatrical) came up as extended, which is non UV, I went ahead and got it, should I open a trouble ticket for a correction?

Amazon.com shows Taken only sells as an Extended cut, no theatrical only edition available from them. Do you own a theatrical only DVD or Blu-ray?

              Taken (Two-Disc Extended Cut) [Blu-ray] (2008)
              Taken (Single-Disc Extended Edition) (2008)

Both Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and HP and the Order of the Phoenix show up as HP and the Chamber of Secrets. Since I already have that one it tells me I cannot add it again.

We are looking into the issue. Please do use the link "Not my disc" to report back to us the mismatch. We are collecting those and correct the data issues.

Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

Only ran into a bug with box set movies thus far really. Like An Evening with Kevin Smith tells me it needs to verify it manually and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles blu rays all came up as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze. The only non-box set style film I've had any trouble with is Hancock and it's likely because the disc is scratched up though the blu ray drive on the PC has no problem playing the movie itself.

Anyway, I'm impressed with it so far. The ease of use compared to Flixster and Cinemanow is so much better and far less buggy from my experiences thus far.

When I D2Ded Goldmember, it put Austin Powers 1 in my account and I didn't realize it so I went through with the purchase. Do I need to contact some support and have it fixed or can I just reD2D Goldmember again later? I was planning to do all three movies anyway, so don't really care how it works in the end.

I'll use this method, if the software gives me the opportunity.
Unfortunately, my Rise of the Planet of the Apes Bluray shows up as Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes WideScreen version DVD which I already have on Vudu and the software indicates that I already have this; it doesn't provide me with the link 'Not my disc'.

I looked at it again, I do have the extended, however, the lack of UV matter is still an issue.

Taken is a wierd title, eligible for D2D but not UV. Some studios don't give extended or Unrated versions UV rights.

I ran into this same problem with the Superman Movies where I couldn't say 'Not my Disc' because I already have Superman Returns which they were incorrectly matched as.
