And the title is certainly not a bootleg.
    Ditto, mine too.

Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

My Alien Quadrilogy on DVD is almost correct.

Alien displays as Alien (Director's Cut)
Aliens displays as Alien (Director's Cut)<--((No "not my disc" button to submit a correction, either))
Alien 3 displays as Alien 3 (Special Edition)
Alien Resurrection displays as Alien Ressurection (Special Edition)

I would love to convert them all to HDX for the wonderful price and quality, but I hate that the second movie is incorrect.

Edit: As a side note, the programming team should consider adding a title search to the program. It is a tad annoying to have to put discs in one at a time just to find that it is not available. I know you can (sort of) search on the website, but even that does not work very well. Just a thought...

To add to the list of the dreaded "Communication Error" each of the following DVDs result in the error message:

        Planes, Trains, and Automobiles
        Book of Eli
        Arthur (2011)
        What's your number?

Please use the following URL to check your disc if it's in D2D list.
          http://www.vudu.com/disc_to_digital.html

You can search for the title and it will show you the matching result and definition availability.

Please let us know if that URL has wrong result.

          Thanks,
          LLN

Yeah, that was the page I used last night to double check that the Aliens (SE) was available like the others were. It does list it. My problem with that page is that it is not very accurate either.

Also, the program failed to recognize my Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 discs (both are single, retail versions). The program had me submit the title. It then told me to wait for you guys to verify it.

How come Vudu charges tax when CinemaNow doesn't?

Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

The following blu-ray discs had these problems when I tried to convert them:

Ray - unable to identify disc
Guns of Navarone - error reading disc
Arthur/Arthur 2 (two movies on one disc) - only converted Arthur
Presumed Innocent/Frantic (two movies on one disc) - only converted Frantic
Open Water/Open Water 2 - unable to identify disc
Analyze This/Analyze That (two movies on one disc) - only converted Analyze That

Will there ever be the ability to convert two movies that are on one disc? There are increasingly more of these double movies on blu-rays.

I love this service. I just hope all the bugs get resolved and someday we can convert ALL movies.

Probably CinemaNow does not have any employee or affiliate in your state.

We will try our best to make it possible. It just takes time to resolve them.

This is first time we learn about the issue of 2-movie BD disc. We will study that. Thank you for reporting.

Which is weird because Generations (Blu-ray) worked for me. 1,3,4,5,6, and Insurrection didn't work (all brought up ST2).

If Best Buy owns CinemaNow they have affiliates in prolly every state. I get taxed by VUDU and Walmart.com and there is no Walmart or Sam's Club in my jurisdiction. Greedy!

FYI - to avoid taxes - open a VUDU account or a second VUDU account and never use that email on walmart.com.

You get taxed by your state, not by us. I am pretty sure that there is a Walmart in your area, otherwise we wouldn't go through the effort to collect and pay the taxes to your government.

Yeah, I know we get taxed by our state but there are no Walmarts or Sams in my state - Washington DC. You can verify no stores with Store Finder on Walmart.com and Samsclub.com.

Many years ago I called Walmart.com Customer Service to complain about online taxes - I was told to call them and they would refund the taxes on my online orders. I believe whoever built the Walmart.com tax database just arbitrarily added DC sales tax to the mix because they assumed, just like you, there is a Walmart in every state. Not so.

Interesting. Needless to say that we of course share the tax database with Walmart.com.

I will forward this to our finance team. This is over my head :-)

Turns out that Walmart has corporate offices in D.C. Good enough for D.C. to make us collect and remit D.C. sales and use taxes.
