I agree, movies like the blue ray Alien Anthology and Star Trek sets have had problems since day one and still do today. Given that issues with these have been stated many times in many threads I would think these would be some of the ones that they would want to get resolved.

Issue with 'Silver Linings Playbook' and 'Sherlock Holmes' ...

Both are available for D2D ... but are having issues identifying.

Flixster also charges more for the conversions. I have never had a disc not recognized on Flixster unless the title was not eligible for disc to digital on any of the three sites (cinemaNow, Flixster ,VUDU). They are also all beta. I think GraceNote was not the way to go.
Is it true that Flixster will only read DVDs and not blu-rays though? All of the ones I'm trying to convert on VuduToGo are blu-rays.

Flixster will read the Blu-rays and identify them accordingly but they don't offer the Blu-ray to D2D conversion; DVD only at this time.

Identifying the discs correctly is the crux of Vudu's problems.

Re: VUDU AT HOME: DISC-TO-DIGITAL Bugs?

            Another title issue ...

            UPC Title Format Error
0-24543-71159-9 Tigerland Blu-ray Unable to identify this disc.

Flixster could identify the disc just fine ...

I don't understand why we get no feedback from Vudu on this. It's like they're completely ignoring the issue.

They haven't updated the database in months. Someone from Vudu used to post on here when an update was coming and what movies were being fixed. That seems to be a thing of the past though. If I had to guess they are probably waiting until September to do anything. I'd guess they are using the promotion to get more people to use the service and report more problems so they can do a big update once the beta is over. That's just a guess on my part though.

Yeah, while we wait for an update for discs that don't work, we're impatient and take them to Wal-Mart and NOT get the 50% off promotion, and by the time they will update the database, we probably won't have the 50% off promotion anymore...

Anyone tried the Dvd of the 80's Fright Night? Does it work? Im thinking about picking up the dvd just to convert this movie to HD on Vudu as I could never see myself paying the outrageous prices the the TT Blu is going for currently. Thanks

I did mine using CinemaNow D2D for the same reason, and it worked just fine and ported right over to VUDU via VU. So worth trying on VUDU first and if it doesn't work for some reason, you still have CinemaNow as a fallback.

No, it doesn't. It comes back with the following error:

There was a problem while verifying this disc.

This is interesting because my A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child DVD read with no problem on 06/21/2013 and converted to HDX. Maybe you should try uninstalling and re-installing.
