I checked Flixster and it still says that The Bodyguard will not be available until 3/12/13.

My local Walmart does not have the bin yet, so I'm thinking some stores may have jumped the gun...we'll see.

To answer my own question, it looks like at least Blazing Saddles is working now and redeeming in HD:

            Mine worked now too --

Just redeemed The Last Starfighter and Army of Darkness.

Wasn't sure what they would redeem as, but both show up as HDX!

Re: New Wal-Mart releases with UV codes inside not all work

I finally got Face/Off and IP Man to redeem yesterday...but they redeemed in SD

I bought 6 other movies from the Wal-mart $7.88 bin with the purple and yellow vudu "BONUS!" inserts, and they all redeemed as HDX several days ago. (I picked up several movies that redeemed through Universal without issue/in HDX.)

I don't want to go into conspiracy mode, but now I'm worried about picking up any others...has anyone else gotten IP Man or Face/Off in HDX? I'm not going to hold my breath, but I'm thinking there's a chance these just got activated in vudu's redemption system and may still show up as HDX soon?

And I'm still not seeing Firefox/Heartbreak Ridge on the vudu.com/redeem page. Strike that, I just redeemed on flixster.com/getUV and both movies show up in vudu as HDX. Sweet.

Just like you, I was having problems with redeeming IP MAN as well. I bought it last Monday, and opened up a case with VUDU Customer Service last Tuesday, who insisted I send them an photo of the redemption sticker as they didn't know(?!) about IP MAN having a VUDU bonus copy with it. Since I received NO RESPONSE from Customer Service after that, and after reading your post, I thought I'd try redeeming it again, and it redeemed just fine.....in SD. I mean, the sticker that the redemption code came on proudly states on the front, in an attractive logo: VUDU HD MOVIES.

I use to brag to people about VUDU'S customer service, and while VUDU is definitely closest to being the APPLE of Ultraviolet services, CS has definitely been problematic and a little difficult lately. I still have 3 movies that vanished unexplained from MY MOVIES library, after being listed there for several months, and VUDU CS insists there is nothing they can do about it. I know this is new technology, but there just seems to be so much in flux with redemptions and SD versus HD redemptions that it really makes you question the strength of it. I really do love VUDU, but I think maybe I'll be slowing down on buying Ultraviolet Movies and definitely with redeeming so much with VUDU, at least until whatever this troubled state is blows over.

I have to agree with you there as there have been strange things happening to my library lately and the CS people really can't explain it? I think I will also be slowing down considerably with my Vudu purchases.

I just redeemed my digital copy of The Terminator and I got HDX!!! I will now put the BD of the remastered The Terminator in my Terminator Anthology where the old copy was. FYI there is a new Terminator Anthology coming soon to Best Buy, Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and ect. and I think it finally includes the remastered version of The Terminator.

I also noticed that some BD movies in the $7.88 bin gave you a UV code for a different movie.

That's a bit of a scam. I picked up Elektra today. Yes, it DOES say that it comes with a digital copy of Daredevil. I suppose I was expecting a bit too much to think that it also would include a copy for Elektra???

You guys are lucky my Walmart doesn't even have a $7.88 bin? I would love to have Terminator on Vudu you find another one let me know I'll pay for it I haven't seen IP Man or anything like that for $7.88 all they have here is $9.99 Blu-Rays on the shelves and that is a sparse collection indeed! One thing I did see if you buy Wolverine you can get X2 on Vudu ... pretty lame since X2 isn't UV

My local one doesn't either. No $7.88 bin. No defined blu-ray section. Limited selection, but big section. Always tons of blank spaces. Poorly maintained. The next one, twice the distance is a 180 degree story, it's not even a nicer area. Totally weird.
