The Vudu Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Vudu experience. Here, Vudu customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Vudu and Vudu -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc). Although the primary purpose of these forums is to help Vudu customers with questions and/or problems with their Vudu service, there are also off-topic areas available within the Vudu Forums for users to chat with like-minded people, subject to the limitations below.

Please post all comments in English. When posting a comment in the Vudu Forums, please conduct yourself in a respectful and civil manner. While we respect that you may feel strongly about an issue, please leave room for discussion.

Vudu reserves the right to refrain from posting and/or to remove user comments, including comments that contain any of the following:

    It will automatically replace the current version of the film. No need to do anything from your end.

      Felipe, if and when titles are replaced with more current versions, is it ok to assume that existing owners will receive the updated version. There are many titles I've held off purchasing (Matrix trilogy, for example) due to DD 2.0 audio vs. DD 5.1, which I'm assuming will be replaced with 5.1 at some point. I know there's no guarantee that 5.1 will be made available, but I'd take that risk if I knew I'd get the updated version if and when it's available.

        You will get the new version, Vudu isn't going to waste disk space holding onto an old encode, it's all streamed from the same file once you hit 'watch'

          Yep, sadly very few of the aspect ratio issues seem to have been fixed so far . I looked at CinemaNow's encoding of this movie, and it is in the correct aspect ratio, but strangely, they've matted it 2.35 and with slightly different colored bars to 2.76. It's very weird. But they must have a different master.
