The Fandango at Home Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Fandango at Home experience. Here, Fandango at Home customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Fandango at Home and Fandango at Home -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc). Although the primary purpose of these forums is to help Fandango at Home customers with questions and/or problems with their Fandango at Home service, there are also off-topic areas available within the Fandango at Home Forums for users to chat with like-minded people, subject to the limitations below.

    I just checked the Convert DVD, and the Extended Editions from Blu-ray are available now!

    I had the original EE trilogy set and I sold it off. They basically evened each other out. I liked the artwork better on the newer releases. So, that's another way to go if you have the old release.

    Yeah, unless you want to pay the upgrade fee, the single releases of the EE's from last year are the only way I currently know about to get the EE trilogy.
    I bought them when they still had Hobbit Movie $ and that was still relevant, which helped defray the costs.

    Yes, I have the box set and have all of them on iTunes digital copies but I don't hardly use iTunes because they are all in SD.

    I think you should be surprised. This box set originally came with iTunes digital copies that had to be redeemed by some date in 2012. The set was reissued and now the current version looks like it has no digital copies (per Amazon's listing).

    There is a boxset at a local store that has all three films on Blu-ray. It's 100 bucks, if it doesn't have UV I'll be surprised.

    Its gotta be a licensing issue. I think the studio is still making a lot of money off of the Bluray extended edition trilogy set. Vudu has known about the lack of Bluray Disc to digital for LOTR for a long time.

    I got the extended versions too off of the Costco Blu-rays. So I don't think it's a glitch. I think that's what those codes are supposed to redeem.

    It could quite possibly be a glitch. Meet The Parents is D2D eligible but it's not a UV title (which I quickly did just in case). Is this a glitch? As for being a licensing issue, if this is the case it would be likely due to money as this makes no sense because HD upgrade is available. I'm still waiting it will save me $9.
