Re: Cowboys & Aliens UltraViolet copy not showing in Vudu

Problems like this one shouldn't happen. There are still too much "red tape" when it comes to issues with Ultraviolet and it's the movie-buying public (us) who is stuck in the middle. It seems unfair that we have to "chase" the studios to solve problems that arise in the Ultraviolet ecosystem.

I chalk this up to another case of finger pointing that leaves the movie-buyer out on a limb to fend for himself with no support from the service provider.

Ideally, Vudu should contact the studio (UV or whoever) to inform them of the ID problem with Cowboys and Aliens on behalf of its customers. It is more likely that Vudu will get action before any of us do.

I would ask Universal Studio's for a new code for Cowboys & Aliens if you redeemed the code on Flixster and it doesn;t show up in your Vudu account. They will want a scan/picture of the insert. They did this for me when I wanted to upgrade Contraband to HDX because I got SD when I redeemed it originally.

I received a reply from Flixster Customer Care for UltraViolet? this morning advising they have corrected the issue and asked me to check my account. It is indeed present now. In addition, it is showing in both Vudu and UltraViolet as the high definition copy instead of standard as it should since I redeemed this from a Blu-ray copy.

Re: Cowboys & Aliens UltraViolet copy not showing in Vudu

It's been almost a week since I sent Universal my third (!) e-mail asking them to correct the ALID so it will finally show up in VUDU, and I still haven't heard from them yet. So, your posting gives me hope. I need that and I'm STILL trying to get them to upgrade my copy to HD, too, as it was originally from a Blu-Ray Combo Pack, bought the first MONTH of release. This is really kind of the last "problem" movie in my collection. I am dying to get this handled once and for all.

I originally wrote to Flixster. It apparently got passed to WB. My original reply from Flixster (flixster.support@flixster-inc.com) was:

I'm sorry for the recent trouble you've experienced. I am forwarding your email to the department that can best address your inquiry.
I received another email from Flixster Customer Care for UltraViolet (UVsupport@wb.com) later that day. My final resolution email also came from this address.

Re: Cowboys & Aliens UltraViolet copy not showing in Vudu

I know this may be an old bump but this was one of my first hits on google when I just realized it was missing from VUDU. I contacted flixster chat support
                http://support.ultraviolet.flixster....p?deptID=15266
Told them I needed the ALID and was fixed within 5 minutes of getting the agent. Now I have HDX Cowboys & Aliens in VUDU.

In case anyone else has the issue and finds it through google then it can get corrected faster than emails back and forth.
