    UV License Storage

    I'm trying to understand this but am a bit confused. With Flixster, they send the UV license to UVVU.com and do not retain a record of it. So if I redeem Green Lantern HD via Flixster, this license is stored exclusively on UVVU.com and if I delink my Flixster, the license info remains with UVVU.com. This seems to be the exception, with CinemaNow, movie studio sites like Paramount Pictures and VUDU redemption, the license is stored with the respective services and a copy is shared with UVVU.com however if you delink, the UVVU.com stored licenses are also removed. So UVVU.com only reads the licenses from the content partners unless it's Flixster, where they permanently retain them. What happens if CinemaNow shuts down? Would they send a final permanent UV license to UVVU.com? Currently UVVU.com reads the info from CinemaNow but if they stop providing it, the license is gone.

    Finally, why the redemption distinction between Flixster and all the others?

    CinemaNow works just like flixster. If you de-link your account, your movies disappear, but they remain in your locker. in fact, one time I got a refund for a title that didn't transfer in HD, and it was removed from CinemaNow, but it stayed in my UV account. With vudu, if you de-link, only the movies purchased or redeemed through other services disappear.

      If you de-link UV from VUDU, your VUDU purchased content will remain on VUDU but vanish from your UVVU locker. However you're right, CN works like Flixster. I just unlinked my UV from CN and all of my CN movies remain in my UV locker and vanished from CN. VUDU seems to store the licenses and only share the info with your UV locker, if you unlink the licenses are rescinded from your UV locker.

        I don't know why your vudu account is acting that way, but it shouldn't. I have never had any UV rights from any vudu movie I have purchased disappear, and my account has been de-linked several times. In fact my account is de-linked right now, and my movies are still there. It would actually be against the DECE TOS to remove them.

          Just unlinked my UV from VUDU and all of the movie licenses stayed in my locker. The last time I did this, all of my VUDU movies vanished from UV. It works now, maybe a temporary hiccup at the time I unlinked. Thanks.
