    open your blu in store

I was lucky enough to purchase Mama early today...and the movie had the ticket for uv copy with a code that was blank...i contacted universal as soon as i got home lol. Anyway, this makes about the 3rd movie in less than 2 months that ive had trouble with. I will open my uv coded movies at the register from now on. Im tired of having to email support groups with proof of stuff. I know i can't be the only one having bad luck. Either way, i will be the crazy guy in line from now on.

True, I've also bought movies with the UV logo or Vudu ($5.00 of promotions) that have expired and the writing is so small that you can't tell or the expiration date is inside the BD case. I'm very careful now before I buy any movie with this type of promotion.

Honestly, Universal seems to be the worst. However, they are the best at helping (just slow). I don't know who does the packaging and/or slip printing. It just makes me mad when I run into this and try to go back in and the worker behind counter looks clueless and says "we don't take back a movie thats opened" I was lucky enough to exchange This is 40 a while back. They let me exchange an open copy for the same exact disc. But, i've had bad luck with that today and with an older movie i bought that i opened recently. Feel stupid trying to explain myself lol. They have no idea what a uv digital copy is 9 times out of 10. Ok im through venting1

I think they just upgraded the DVD/Bluray packaging. There is now a standard UV sticker in the bottom right with the expiration date clearly printed on the outside.

This just happened at my WalMart in the past week or so.

I can not speak for if inside these titles, there is a blank UV code. At least the expiration date is clearly indicated now.

Did an instore d2d today and while there I glimpsed at the blu-rays and they had the new Universal steels out. Picked up Scarface and Pitch Black. I checked out in the photo center and told the lady i was gonna open up the movies there because of my badluck with missing tickets. The lady probably thought i was crazy. Both had tickets inside so no probs lol.
