Flixster has added the ability to Delete titles from your collection.

The movies in my Flixster collection show an option to delete the movie. I clicked the delete button for a few titles and was presented with a confirmation message.

Note: This only works for titles added through Flixster. If done for titles from other UV retailers it will error out.

Deleting a title from your collection is like throwing away a DVD.

You will no longer be able to watch this title on Flixster or any other UltraViolet service.

Are you sure you want to permanently delete this title?

Wonder how it will work with dupes? I have Harry Potter 7.1 in SD through Flixster but HD through Vudu.

Just did a test with 17 Again. Still Showing in Vudu for now, but I'm guessing it will finally be gone for good! Next to go, Malibu's Most Wanted.

Unfortunately can't post a pic. First click on the title you wish to delete, on the next page there will be several options, watch now, download, and Delete.

Thanks for the info. I was able to get rid of a couple lame freebies. I wish Vudu was able to do this. I got a couple unwanted freebies here too.

Vudu needs this too. Free episodes of TV shows collect quickly and become an annoyance. Not an issue on Flixster since they do not have TV shows, but on Vudu, for sure something that is needed.

Thx very much for the info! I may use it once or twice over there.

I just deleted about 6 titles, and confirmed they are gone from my UV account, but they are still listed on vudu. This is great news. Has anyone tried getting rid of duplicates this way? There is one title that I got on both flixster and vudu, I wonder if it will delete the duplicates...

Mine eventually were gone from vudu after about 15 minutes. I'll test it some more tonight. I got rid of my 2 biggest annoyances. Ill try mars attacks tonight and see what happens. I got that as my first freebie then did d2d to get hdx. Ill see if it deletes the sd copy or errors out.

Looks like our dupes are stuck for now. Won't let you delete if you have it through flixster in sd and vudu via d2d. Still good to get rid of the unwanted freebies though.

Mars Attacks is Tim Burton early on. I do not have this in physical, so I would not delete the free SD copy from Flixster. I can see how you would want to if you did a D2D->HDX though. The SD version would never be watched in that case.

I am slow to go delete happy though. The old adage, measure twice, cut once where b4 pressing the trash can icon, I want to make good and sure I will never ever ever ever want to watch that title again, nor will anyone who is watching titles in my UV library. After all, the idea of linking UV accounts with other family members would take a title they may be all jazzed about seeing out of the mix.

                    anyway...

If anyone on my account wanted to watch Malibus Most Wanted they probably weren't going to like any other movies I have on there I have no regrets removing the 2 movies I removed.

I contacted vudu support and had them remove a movie I didn't want. So, you can do it that way, but it would be nice if they made it easier!

I'd be happy if you could just hide it from the UI. I have wanted a delete, but not very often.

Pilot TV shows for sure. Those are a one-and-done thing that are just a subsequent annoyance.

Here is the scenario. I try a pilot TV episode. I don't like it. Too Bad. I now have it FOR EVER or till I get so annoyed by looking at it that I open a Tech-Support case to take it out of my collection.
