    "Warm Bodies" not UV?

"Warm Bodies" was just released as an early release. Is it not going to be UV-enabled? The blu-ray disc that becomes available in a few weeks is listed as including a UV copy.

If the blu-ray disc is listed as including a UV copy then yes it will be UV.

I was just curious why it is not UV-enabled right now, since it is already showing up on Vudu. Will it not be UV-enabled for three weeks when the blu-ray is released?

Thanks in advance for any help!

        Re: "Warm Bodies" not UV?

It varies, probably a studio limitation. A Good Day to Die Hard is UV three weeks early but other movies like Cloud Atlas were not initially UV until a week prior to street date and then some are simply not UV until street date.

I also bought Warm Bodies from Cinemanow and it shows it being UV enabled but it only shows up in Cinemanow. My guess is it will show up for Vudu after the Blu-ray gets released.

It will ONLY show up in Vudu when they correct their system to show it as UV. When a title is UV it's suppose to be universal, meaning that Flixster, Vudu, CinemaNow, M-Go, and any other service provider who lists the title should have it as UV.

...then again, maybe VUDU doesn't have to show it as UV until the actual release date next month.

I hope luck is on your side with it showing up over in Vudu. I've heard horror stories and have had this happen to me about buying a movie that was UV from Cinemanow and it never shows up in Vudu. It hits your UVVU account but won't filter out to any other UV retailer.

Recently Cloud Atlas transferred OK. Cloud Atlas was UV on Cinemanow but not Vudu before the DVD release date. It showed up in my Vudu account account on release date. I know one data point only though.

Don't trust CinemaNow to have done it right. They've screwed up UV rights to quite a few movies. Hitchcock is one example. It wasn't UV enabled, even though it displayed the UV logo. It took them several weeks to fix it, and they didn't go back and fix it for everyone who had already purchased the movie. I ended up buying it and getting refunds 5 times before it actually worked properly. That was with a major release and me bugging a friend a DECE who interceded. They still havent fixed a few older movies, like The Phantom Thief.
