    Fox still has the rights to distribute the SW movies until ~2018 (could be off a year). So, you won't see Disney releasing them until after that time passes.

    I am going into WalMart on Friday. I will catalog digital copy offers while they process my D2D bi-weekly order. Last time I did so, the only ones with iTunes was "Lincoln" and Disney titles, but I will check again on Friday.

    Far and away, most were UV exclusive for digital copy redemption
    There's a table button Not sure I've ever clicked it before. It just prefills some code into the text box.

    It's far too hot to do catalog titles, too! I have been noticing more UV inclusion on those of late.

    The only studio on this limited list that's gone full-UV is WB, and they bought Flixster so I guess they're "all-in". Universal, Fox, and Paramount let you choose a walled garden and/or UV.

    From looking around, it looks like Sony might also be UV-only for digital copies. Lionsgate gives both.

    ...you know, you make a good point. I had heard MGM too has been dragging their feet with their historical titles.

    Here is my parked D2D titles which are waiting on availability;

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...LcHhRTlE#gid=0

    I should probably add a column for studio to see which ones are being obstinate, like you say.

    However, I have found it is often a tricky thing to find who currently hold the distro rights for a given title. Most often, it is no longer the same company who's logo is on the spine of the DVD/Bluray.

    Case-in-point: "Stargate". Currently, Lionsgate holds the distro rights, but the word lionsgate appears nowhere on my Bluray package.

    I can see why Disney could not abruptly halt offering iTunes copies. After all, their customers have been trained to use iTunes for Digital Copy redemption more so then all other studios.

    I am beginning to think that the DigitalCopy+ initiative is simply a transitional step until the iTunes initeria they had built up recedes.

    After training their customers for so long to go to iTunes for Digital copy redemption, they could not just halt that as an option.
    FOX has *some* offerings, but the vast majority of FOX discs that I have can't be converted (Disc-to-digital) at this time and the vast majority of those offerings came with no digital copy or, if I was really lucky, an iTunes copy that I redeemed long ago, which is why I still list them as a major player that isn't really on board with UV, or at least not with Vudu at this time.

    They are there, but only sparingly.

    When Star Wars is available d2d, then you can claim they (FOX) are fully onboard. Until then, nice try. (And really, Star Wars is just the first title that comes to mind, I had about 40 - 50 discs that I went through which were FOX titles, none of which were able to be converted via disc-to-digital, so this isn't just a small issue....)

But I think a more important measure is the number of discs sold. Most Disney releases are said to be must own movies, for instance, recent hits like The Avengers, Brave, OZ, and Wreck-It Ralph, so they end up selling 3 or 4 times as many copies as a competing blockbuster from a UV studio, and that really makes a difference. So Disney probably accounts for closer to 20 or 30% of total discs sold.
