    TV Shows

Will they ever allow you to convert tv shows to your vudu account like they do with dvds? I bought season 5 of true blood and it had a code for ultraviolet, and I noticed that they also have the other seasons if you buy the blu-ray but I already have the other seasons on dvd. I just want to pay a fee to put all the other seasons on vudu.

I wish they would, because there's no way in hell I'm paying $100 just so I can have 4 seasons of NYPD Blue in my Vudu account.

It seems unlikely they will leave that revenue unspent in your pocket. They will find a way.

I'm hopeful that once the digital rights get cleared they'll offer a D2D option for TV too. It is a DISC and there ARE digital download options available. Seems like they just need some way of accurately matching up the sets with the download options, whether it be via VUDU2Go or via in-store D2D. As long as the price is right (hopefully the same on a per-season basis, or some discount of the "complete series" depending on length / # of seasons). I mean, we've already paid for the right to view the stuff by buying the DVDs or Blu. Sometimes both. We've paid our dues into the system. I'd totally convert my TV-on-DVD or TV-on-Blu to UV, assuming the price is right.

Doesn't look like many TV shows have UV rights yet. Only the 1st 2 seasons of Friends show as UV. House Season 8, I think? Breaking Bad season 5. Big Bang Theory seasons 1, 2 & 5. Those are a few of the few I've seen so far that have the UV symbol on VUDU.
