Titles Available For EST On Other Sites But Not On Vudu?

I'd like to know why iTunes and Amazon Instant have so many more mainstream titles for sale than vudu. If the studio's want to compete with iTunes by offering UV, then why do they not make more titles available via vudu? I have found many mainstream titles available for EST on other sites, such as iTunes, Amazon Instant, and CinemaNow, so we know they are cleared for digital distribution. Maybe we could make a complete list, and vudu could go after these titles!

Princess Bride (iTunes and Amazon Instant)
Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, (HD in iTunes but only SD on Vudu)
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (iTunes and Amazon Instant)
Jersey Girl 2004 (iTunes and Amazon Instant)
Shrek 2 (iTunes, Amazon Instant, CinemaNow) Now on Vudu

I think Vudu decides what titles their service offers. The studios don't play a part in unequal EST distro.

I understand Apple charges studios to format their titles for distro via iTunes. Studios can by-pass this fee by doing EST via UV, but then loose out on the Apple iTunes market.

    anyway.

"O Brother Where Are Thou?" is rental only on all three (iTunes, Amazon, and Vudu). Go figure.
"War of the Worlds" (2005) is rental only on Vudu, but can be bought outright via EST on iTunes. It is not available in any format on Amazon.

I'll keep an eye out for others.

Here are additional movies on my VUDU Wishlist that are either for rent only or for sale in SD only, but are for sale in HD on iTunes and/or Amazon Instant:

I think I will send my lists in a direct email to VUDU support to put the pressure on!

It would be great if others would do the same!

              Damn!

Stargate I have Bluray. I wouldn't EST buy it, but I sure do want to D2D it something awful. Vudu has it SD only. If it went D2D SD only, I would still hold out for the HDX version.

I have Kindergarten Cop in HDX. I most likely obtained it via D2D.

this completely baffles me how Vudu can offer playback on some titles exclusively via a D2D redemption, but not have the same title available via EST.

"Austin Powers Goldmember" is available via D2D, but not EST. I just don't get it...

I don't get it either. American Graffiti is for rent only, does not show that it is UV, but yet it is available for D2D in HDX. Huh?

Housesitter is UV and is for sale in SD only. But it is available in HDX using D2D. Huh?
