    Hidden Titles?

I redeemed Spider-Man 2 and Shaun of the Dead today (through Sony and Universal respectively), and despite searching Vudu for Spider-Man 2.1 and Shaun of the Dead and getting no hits...They are both in my Vudu account now! Spider-Man 2.1 is only available as SD apparently...but it's still there.

So...what other titles are they hiding from us?

    I see Spider-man 2:
    http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content...2/Spider-Man-2

No sign of Shaun of the Dead.

It's not unusual for Vudu to have rights to D2D, Rental, or whatever. I expect there are some made available as a package by the studios.

Right, thats my point. Its not there...but it is. It does not show up in search, or D2D but its now in my library after adding it to UV.

And I am talking about Spider-Man 2.1, the director's cut. Same thing, not searchable, but now in my library after redeeming the UV.

Edit: Also Aliens (Special Edition). You can get it through in-store D2D but it won't show up in a search.

He was talking about Spiderman 2.1, not Spiderman 2. It was a free extended version that you got by redeeming the UV code for Spiderman 2 through Sony.

It's not uncommon for movies to be in your library but not in the search field. It just means Vudu doesn't currently offer it for whatever reason but they did at one point so it's in your library. Movies come and go during release windows on all the sites (Vudu, Itunes, Amazon). Even on Itunes I have movies in my purchase history that I can re-download that Itunes does not currently sell.

I think VUDU should still show it when you search for it. If you own it then you can play it, if you don't then you should see that the title is currently not available for purchase or rental due to whatever reason.

Any UV title you own should show up in your library on Vudu, whether it's for sale on Vudu or not.

They have to have the rights to it. Watchmen Ultimate Cut is my UV library and not available on Vudu, and thus not in my Vudu library.

I just think it's interesting there are titles they have the rights to, but aren't showing us, and it makes me wonder what other movies are out there that we think are unavailable.

                Austin Powers #3 - "Goldmember."

You can watch it on Vudu if you get it into your UV locker.

You can not buy it from Vudu.

                ...go figure.

It is something called "visibility windows" dictated by studios for any title/definition. VUDU can't show content with search or anywhere. However if user owns it, the user has the right to see/play it from My VUDU.

It's this kind of non-sense by the studios why most of my friends don't want Ultraviolet and stick to iTunes. If studios are adopting UV then they shouldn't hamper the content providers in any way.

I am not sure if iTunes can be exception. It is HBO licensing that is applicable to anyone.

I have as an example the Chronicles Of Riddick but can't find it on Vudu, even though I did the disc to digital. HBO doesn't have rights to Riddick correct, so why can't I find Riddick here but can on Flixster?

Please go to "My Movies" and see if it's there. It can't be "found" by search.
(I did check your account and see it should be there).

Thanks I see it, but a sort function or proper search would make this so much easier since I have almost 800 movies. I passed it up earlier.

How many of your iTunes friends get to have EST versions of their existing DVD / Bluray collections for $2 via a D2D incentive program?

                              Zero?
