This is true, and this is the reason I have about 125 titles in my VUDU library (with many more in the queue!) and only 28 in my "iTunes in the Cloud" (and nearly all of those were from free "Digital Copies.")

D2D is a *huge* plus and despite me being a lifelong Apple fan, I've decided the streaming platform of choice for me is VUDU (and Ultraviolet.)
~see reply in Oz thread. BTW, thx for the correction on the 1080p. I did not know that.

If you buy Oz, which of the three choices (iTunes / Amazon / Vudu) would you pick on the new DigitalCopy+ site?

Yes, we really need searching and sorting of one's "library" on VUDU.com to work like the VUDU app (such as the one on Sony's Blu players). Works great on the app, but there's no option for it on the web site. There really needs to be. Especially since the default ordering of the "My Library" section is currently nonsensical. That is it's only viewable as most-recent-first, which is pretty much the WORST possible way to sort things. It needs to be either alphabetically, or...? Well, really alphabetically is the main way it should be sorted. But it would be nice to be filterable too. Can sort & filter in UVVU and on the Blu-Ray player apps. Why not use the same logic on the web site?

There's already SOME filtering / sorting in the "browse" section. Why not port that over to the library view?

    Fargo

    The Legend of Bagger Vance
    The Princess Bride
    City Slickers
    The Jazz Singer (1980)
    Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
    When Harry Met Sally
    The Truman Show
    Good Morning, Vietnam
    Short Circuit

I remembered there is a good list on bluray.com. Checked for these titles, but sadly nada.

    No thx.

Two buck and I have a pro do mine and store it in a cloud video service that is vendor agnostic.

No worries about a local HD crashing. No worries about AV sync. No worries about codec mismatches. Etc..
This is what those who blindly love iTunes and/or hate UV don't understand or want to admit. Some people just love Apple products and can't be told differently. Not to mention Handbrake can take FOREVER when I can buy a HD copy from UV in less than 30 seconds. Great post as always Walter.

    Re: Hidden Titles?

A CS rep just told me I'm seeing those titles because they were previously available on Vudu.

So one assumes they have the movies, but not the rights to rent or sell them, and when you add them to your UV Vudu automatically accesses them for you. Which makes sense since Watchmen Ultimate Cut is in my UV, but not my Vudu.

Chronicles Of Riddick is available on iTunes, but not on Vudu, CinemaNow, Amazon, or Netflix.

iTunes is exempt from the window?

Regarding searching (website or other devices), do the studios really care if we are able to search for a title that we own? Being able to search is a faster way to find a movie since we don't have a way to position the list. Many of us are getting several hundred titles in our library and finding it difficult to find what we're looking for. VUDU is already ahead of everyone else, but having more ways to both organize and search titles in our library would be awesome.

It's good to know that some of our requests are actually on a "list".

    THANKS!
