Help: Trouble to Install Vudu to go

I have an windows 7 computer and received this error trying to install Vudu to go on my PC.

The application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged. Try obtaining a new installer file from the application author.

    Is this a known issue?

Please do a clean uninstall and reinstall the app.

    - Uninstall Adobe Air, VUDU To Go from Control panel
    - delete "%APPDATA%\com.vudu.air.Downloader", and "%APPDATA%\Adobe\AIR"
    - reinstall the new app (it will install Adobe Air).

The %APPDATA% is the env for "C:\Users\<Your username>\AppData\Roaming\". You
can just type it in Explorer or Command prompt to get it.

Usually I give that as some users do not know the "<Your username>" needs to be
    replaced with correct one.

Let me know if the clean uninstall still cannot solve this problem.

For the OS X, you can remove the VUDU App, AIR and delete:
          - ~/Library/Preferences/com.vudu.air.Downloader
(probably same place for Adobe AIR too).
and then install VUDU to Go.

I have Windows Vista and am getting the same error. What exactly do you have to do? I have no idea where to go to find and delete "%APPDATA%\com.vudu.air.Downloader" and "%APPDATA%\Adobe\AIR".

Check to see what version of Adobe Air you have installed and upgrade to the latest version if it's out of date. I experienced the same error on one of my PCs and it was due to Adobe Air being too old and thus it wouldn't automatically update to the latest version of Adobe Air which is required for VuduToGo. This was throwing the error but as soon as I installed the newer version that same downloaded file installed just fine.

Also, the location of the AppData folder is posted in LocN's post that you quoted above.

I have windows 7 and followed the steps to do a clean install, then restarted the computer. It is giving me an error message:
The application cannot be installed due to a certificate problem. The certificate does not match the installed application certificate, does not support application upgrades, or is invalid. Please contact the application author.

please let me know what to do to fix this.
                  Thank you!
