Here, Fandango at Home customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Fandango at Home and Fandango at Home -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc).     Vudu is actively trying to prevent to use of burned discs/ISO.

    We are really sorry for the inconvenience that may cause but there is some rule that we must follow in order to open it to public.

      Dude, I'm not using burned discs, ISOs, or decrypted discs, which is the point I'm making. Why you keep bringing that up I don't know.

          Running a Virtual Machine shouldn't have an impact on using VUDUToGo.

            I never stated that but the specific issue you're experiencing could be a side effect of Vudu's restriction implementation. Another member reported that D2D stopped working after the 2.0.7 upgrade and that member traced the issued to using RAID mode rather than AHCI. LocN mentioned they would look into fixing that issue now that it had been identified.

              I'm not running in Raid Mode.

              So why do you keep bringing up ISOs and Mounted ISOs in response to this issue?

                I didn't say you were running in raid mode. People have been experiencing more problems with the VuduToGo software since Vudu implemented stricter restrictions. I used the RAID/AHCI issue as an example and once the problem was identified by the user Vudu is now looking into that specific issue.

                Nor did I bring up ISOs, I was simply responding to a statement made by lostinva.

                It's possible your VM is causing problems but someone will need to identify/confirm the root issue before it can be fix assuming that's an issue to begin with.

                  Hi,

                  I think he mentioned it because the error is for the encrypted disc error. It may not mean you used it, and the software may report erroneously classified as such. So far there is one confirmed case by BluerayFan that it's RAID mode in BIOS. There may be more but we couldn't reproduce in house.

                  We would appreciate your help so we all can understand the issue.

                    Can you tell us more about your environment?
                    What is your base OS?
                    Are you using VirtualBox to run a virtual machine? If so what is the OS/32-64 bit?

                    FYI, we don't test our app on all of the possible virtual machines.

                        It's windows 7 Home premium 64 bit, running virtualbox with windows 8 in a virtual machine.(soon to be windows 8.1). Windows 7 is for myself, both work and pleasure, and windows 8 is to test Metro Apps. Vudu to Go is running in windows 7, not on windows 8. The VM is running a basic install of 8, nothing special going on.

                        On windows 7 I have steam running in the background, Dropbox, iCloud and skydrive. I use Windows Media center and XBMC. Firefox and Chrome (absolutely no IE, screw that). The computer is an HP pavillion, AMD quadcore, 64 bit windows, ATI graphics, pretty standard stuff. It does connect to my TV through HDMI, which is how I get HDX to work. Only one DVD drive. Never needed two. One internal Hard drive, one external for backups.

                            Just for clarification, you have VirtualBox installed on the machine but Vudu-To-Go isn't running within a VM; it's on the main OS?

                            You mentioned you have XBMC installed. Do you use any kind of software to rip movies to the hard drive (AnyDVD, DVDFab, etc) or region free software? If so, make sure that software isn't active otherwise it can cause problems with the Vudu-To-Go software.

                            Did the previous version of the software work for you?

                                Yes, Vudu to go is running on the main OS, which is windows 7. I don't have AnyDVD or DVDFab or what have you, nor region free software. I don't want SD copies of my movies anyway, what I wanted to do was upgrade my collection to HDX. Main reason for my excitement was not having the hassle of going to walmart to do it, and that there's a discount.
