Trust me, I understand development, I'm a developer myself, and the answer should be something like this "I am aggressively working to get this reproduced, I'll let you know as soon as I can."

Just doesn't seem like anyone cares, which is obviously frustrating.
Sorry, thought you were aware of the promotion time frame. According to the T&C on the In Home Disc to Digital page the promotion runs through Aug 31, 2013.

Thank you rdodolak. Yes, it's correct that the promotion will be ended after 3 month we rolled out to public.

I found 1 MBP 2012 in our company and unfortunately we couldn't reproduce this issue. This is just an FYI that we are actively working on this issue. It doesn't mean that we stop searching for it.

          Re: Error reading DVD disc.

I have a Dell Latitude E6520 that has no mods from the factory, minus updated BIOS. I am running Windows 8. I was able to get a disc scanned and added with the beta build, but not with the latest. My internal DVD drive, which is in AHCI mode, gives me the error: There was an error reading this disc. My external USB Blu-Ray drive gives me the error: There was a problem while verifying this disc. This is with a plain-Jane, retail disc of Die Hard. I would love to be able to get these in digital. I can repro or send whatever data is needed.

The "verifying" problem may vary by disc, and network connection/firewall/VPN ... The "error reading" is the one that we can't reproduce (yet), and once that happen it may happen to your entire collection of legitimate discs.

Please continue using the external to check other discs.

I've checked a bunch with the external drive with the same result.

Like I said if it's problem w/ network configuration then it happens all the time. There are some possible ways to fix this:
                - clean uninstall and reinstall, instruction is here.
                - if clean reinstallation doesn't help, check your network configuration and be sure not to have VPN (or dual interface ...) it may route our responds differently.

I also did this and I think it's a problem on Vudu's end but they're not quite ready to admit it. I'm thinking if it was something happening on our end, then we would get this "error reading disc" for every disc and not just some of them?

It sounds like it's both. I do have some titles which give this error, but that's been the case with all versions of the program, but the OP stated that all of the titles he tried were giving the error and others seemed to corroborate that statement. There would be a difference between some titles and all titles coming up with the same error. It sounds like this thread may have become mixed up with two different issues.

On my machine, again, the error I'm getting is (copy and pasted):

There was an error reading this disc.

You may take this disc to your nearest Walmart store for instant conversion.

Now, my machine has not trouble reading any disc. I have a case in right now. I'm going to honest with you, I believe the Sata/RAID settings is a red herring. It might have fixed one or two computer and be replicable, but that doesn't mean it's the underlying cause.

So, every DVD gives the same message and not a single one works?

That's called a typo. Don't tell me you've never seen one.

I was pretty sure it was a typo but wasn't sure what you actually meant since I could have taken that statement two different ways. Hence the question.
