Thank you for posting this, I had the same problem this past February. I gave up. I haven't done any d2d since i first started. I ended up using up all my 100 alotted Md2d . I would like to get regular d2d to work since I have a sizable collection to get through still.
in may try to reinstall the app.
I am also considering an external blue ray drive since I only have DVD currently.

I called customer support about another issue. While I was on the phone, I asked the tech about these error messages.
He told me that the program was in beta and full bugs. He also told me that this is the reason they are giving the 50 percent discount. I was told that when the bugs were fixed and and the software is working properly, the discount will be gone.

Nothing. It's a known bug. This thread was originally about a different error that was based on the user's computer. It's kinda spiraled into a hodgepodge of different read errors. Your error is common and unfortunately Vudu has never really given an answer as to why so many double sided disc give errors. It's nothing you are doing though since it happens to all of us.

    Just a heads up,
I am having problems doing disc to digital conversion for the following movies.

Warrior(DVD included in the Blu-Ray Combo pack).
    The Quest(1996 DVD/Universal Studios)
She Done Him Wrong(Universal Cinema Classics Collection).

Each of them ask me to ID the disc, but that's it.

The reason I've never taken any discs to walmart is because it's a hassle. I'd rather have this work here, I have enough movies to take advantage of the discount.

The movies I've tried so far were Shrek, Kick-*** and The Dark Crystal.
Installing the Intel? Rapid Storage Technology RAID Driver fixed this problem for me. I read that you need this driver on one of the other forums and I installed it. Now everything works fine!

There's 2 different types of disc read errors. 1 that affects every disc you put in that is user specific (what this thread was originally about) and an error that affects certain discs which is disc specific (mainly double sided DVDs but it affects Blu Rays and 1 sided DVDs on occasion). Sounds like you're fine and the errors you are getting are the errors that everyone would get with those discs.

I am having the same error message as everyone else I tried updating my
drivers and that did not fix the problem. So my question is if I go with an External drive
is there a certain type I will need to get or will about any type work? I have an ASUS K55 series.
also if I am going to get a external hard drive if I spent the extra money and bought a Blu-ray
drive would it work on my computer that the internal drive is a regular DVD CD drive?

I am having a very simular problem. I am new to Vudu, but LOVE the idea/concept! I have been sucessfull in converting only a couple. MOST of them i get error messages OR I put in a bluray and it only sees it as a DVD. I have also sit down with a stack of bluerays (and some DVDs) and one after the other...does not work...Last night, I had one that work...that was it, so of course I did not do it. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE...get it working right. I know it is in BETA still, but get it working. I WANT to give you my money!!! LOL

No activity for 30 days, that's either great news or really distressing.

I've got a case of the can't convert a single DVD blues. It's a white box system, ASRock motherboard with AMD chipset, so the ISRT fix won't work. All ISO software disabled, Drive set to region 1, and BIOS set to AHCI. Just updated all drivers and still no go.

What are the instructions for generating debug logs?
