    Traffic Criterion Collection not D2D?

Anyone else unable to get the Criterion edition of Traffic to work? It keeps telling me its not D2D eligible no matter how many times I load it. I've had this problem with some other discs, but a simple reload usually fixes it.

Anyone know a fix (besides going to Walmart obviously)?

Don't know but that title worked for me a few weeks ago. I would have to try again to see if the app still recognizes it though.

Another way to fix it is to put the key in the ignition of your car, start it, drive to WalMart........

You can even get a slurpee on your way home

Right, which is why I mentioned it in the original post.

          ah, I see that now.

I actually like my bi-weekly trips into WalMart.

This morning, there was a team lead at the main store I go to who normally works at another WalMart I sometimes go to. She recognized me right away a "the movie guy".

I know all the folks who work at the photo counter by first name.

Anyway, In-Home is a nice feature, but the photo counter folks have a method which sometimes is better too.

Are you trying the DVD or Blu-ray? Just tried my Criterion Traffic Blu-ray and it's recognized in the app. If you have the Blu-ray and are still having problems I would try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to see if that fixes the issue.

No dice there. I did get it used, so I wonder if its a rental disc. Its not marked and the special features aren't disabled, but I can't come up with any other explanation.

Sounds like it's a different disc. But there are a couple of things that may help to narrow down whether it's a rental.

You can place the disc in the drive and look at the volume name. The volume name on my Blu-ray disc is TRAFFIC with folder dates of 11/22/2011.

You can also look at the Disc IDs on the inner ring (on the playable side). My copy shows:

                Layer 1: BVDL-278210A1
                Layer 2: BVDL-278210B1

Thanks for the info. My disc appears to be identical to yours, same numbers on the ring, same folder name and dates, so I'm not sure why its not recognizing it. I had the same problem with There Will Be Blood and The Shining but a couple of reloads fixed those right up, this one stubbornly refuses conversion!

Re: Traffic Criterion Collection not D2D?

The only thing I can think of is that it was eligible at one time but not any more.

For example, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs Blu-ray came up as not eligible for the longest time in the D2D software even though it was on the list. A few weeks ago it was available and I added it to my cart. After the latest update with the new public beta software, our existing carts were lost for a period of time, and when I tried to add that title again it came back as not being eligible again. Luckily my cart was restored and I was able to add it to my library. Maybe something similar has happened with Traffic.

I'm wondering if the D2D database has taken a step backwards.

Yea I'm gonna see if I can download the beta anywhere and try it with that.
