BB doesn't have a good selection of UV for CinemaNow at their retail stores either. Only Walmart seems to be actively doing cross-promotion with stores. It could be a studio test, or a strategy by Walmart corporate, but I'm actively buying from the Walmart stores, even though I could use points to get free movies from BB.

I thought I was a staunch EST only man.

I had crossed the threshold bravely into the digital era, discarding forever my purchase of packaged media.

They broke me. I just had no defense againts such a beautiful enticement.
      1. Bluray Disc
      2. Free EST copy
      3. New-In-Box (NIB)
      4. Sub $8

      I feel victimized...

I thought I knew who I was, but now everything is in question. This all due to the evil and yet heroic sales force in the big blue box store.

This shows a list of movies that have been found in the illustrious Wally World Blue Bin of Joy. It is a wonderful thing.

Really, there are some newer movies in that list. I would think those would not be in the blu bin at the $7.88 price. This was actually confirmed?

His list shows a price in column I and also shows that not all these titles are UV.

two out of the three I bought were not on the list.

I think attempting to document the titles in a bargain bin is futile, since it will always be changing.

Maybe too it is like a magic portal which reflects back the movies the person who is standing over it would want.

Sort of like the Mirror of Erised in the Harry Potter films.

Hi, my name is Max, and I'm a Vudu-holic.

I've got 150 items in my cart now, all DVD->HDX conversions, but I can't bring myself to check out, because I keep worrying that I'll find one last disc that I forgot to convert and miss out on the 50% off discount.

I'm also having trouble not digging through the $5.99 bin of used Redbox discs at my local supermarket, even though I've looked through it twice already (as in, methodically sorted through every title), and there is nothing that I want to see....but that means I could get HDX movies for $8.49, so does it really matter if I like them or not?

I've recently started to only convert 10 at a time because of the 50% off promotion. I'm at the point now that I have to wait until the ones "Not recognized" or incorrectly recognized are fixed before I can do any more conversions.

After reading this, I went over to Wal-Mart.....Wow!!! Wish I had seen this sooner.

I've converted over 200 films using Vudu-to-Go so far, mostly DVDs. I've been collecting a long time, and after spending a lot to convert from VHS to DVD, I just couldn't bring myself to go whole hog on Blu-ray (there was also my brief foray into HD). But with the bin at Wal-Mart, I think I've got a new project....just in time for the 3D releases so I'll have to do it again. (When does it stop?)

                    Vudu Movies:
                    108 HDX
                    237 SD
                    345 Total

                    Vudu TV Seasons:
                    3 HDX

                    non-Vudu TV Seasons:
                    1 HDX

                      Sadly never.

I just got back myself from a blue bin raid.

                      + 4
                      1. 10,000 BC (2008)
                      2. 2012 (2011)
                      3. Next (2007)
                      4. Wanted (2008)

                      All redeemed into HDX.

                      Total cost = $33.73

Cost if I would of bought these same titles via an outright HDX EST purchase...
                      $59.88

Do you know when you have a problem?...when you convert your IMAX: Hubble 3D disc to 2D and the re-watch value is only the 3D. Luckily it was only $1.00 . I really need to go to rehab.

                          ...sequence of events in my life the past few days;
                          1. Found Blu Bin of Magic - Full of Bluray titles with UV codes for $7.88
                          2. Experienced esoteric meltdown
                          3. Bought three...
                          4. After getting home, discovered all redeemed into HDX
                          5. Next day, scavenged up some cash and went back
                          6. Found four titles which were on my "Wishlist"
                          7. Bought --> Redeemed into HDX
                          8. Next day, brought four of the new seven to local pawn dude
                          9. He hands me eight dollars
                          10. At this point, I had a choice to walk out with my money...
                          11. ...Instead, I buy a bluray from his shelf stock which too was on my "Wishlist"
                          12. ---> cost $3
                          13. ...March it into my local WalMart Photo counter, cough up $2.14
                          14. POOF, one more title in blissful 1080p (Alien vs. Predator - 2007).

I fear absent medication, this will go on forever.

                              Re: I have a problem:

I picked up a bunch more today (including The Fifth Element, which was not recognized in Vudu to Go), but I noticed that some of the titles are not Ultraviolet, just Vudu. That's not bad, really, except that the redemption screen says that there is a limit of 5 redemptions per account. There seem to be 2 different urls listed to redeem these blu-rays.

www.vudu.com/digitalcopy - this one has the 5 redemption limit.
www.vudu.com/digitalcopypromo - this one does not appear to have a limit.

For the Ultraviolet titles, the usual method works fine.

In addition, some titles (e.g. the Hurt Locker) are only available in SD for PC viewing. I'm assuming I can get HD/HDX on my X-box, but have not checked yet.

None of this is a complaint (except maybe the 5 redemption limit), but just something to be aware of. Going forward, I will be looking more closely for the Ultraviolet logo.

                              Vudu Movies:
                              118 HDX
                              237 SD
                              355 Total
                              Vudu TV Seasons:
                              3 HDX

when given the choice, I grab the one with the purple UV logo instead of just the Vudu one.
