The Fandango at Home Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Fandango at Home experience. Here, Fandango at Home customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Fandango at Home and Fandango at Home -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc).     Movie Not in Vudu Library

    I'm a little confused by something I was just told on the customer support line? I was going through various movies that I converted on the D2D program and some of them don't show the audio/video quality on the "More Info" tab. I called to ask about this and the CS representative told me that it doesn't show this information because it's not on their "Library". I'm confused because Vudu let's you convert them but not buy them outright, correct? I guess the only way I'll be able to tell what the video/audio quality is is by playing them? Maybe a Vudu rep can explain to us what this means?

      There are at least 3 movies that don't give the audio/video quality in my list:

      The Accused
      The Island
      XXX: State of the Union

        Which version of the Island is it? Sorry, want to make sure we get this correct for you.

        Update- Disregard, i was able to locate the movie. I've passed these along to content to fix.

          Hmmmm Not to Hijack thread but I looked at my account also and these movies aren't showing for me either although they show in my UV locker and on Flixster

            It seems that the problem is a bit more in depth than a quick edit. I've filed a bug, but it may take some time to correct the issue.

            But, just so you're aware until then:

            All SD streams are encoded with Dolby Digital Stereo
            The Island and The Accused are Dolby Digital Stereo for HD and HDX as well
            XXX: State of the Union has Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround for HD and HDX.

              Is that filed bug report only for those titles or when fixed should it correct the issue with all titles that have that issue?

              Here are a couple more that I can remember off the top of my head:

                It looks like it's the case for a larger number of movies. I believe a fix would cover all of them.

                  Why are we not able to "search" for these titles? I have The Island and Over the Hedge in My Vudu but when I search for them they do not come up. We should be able to search for movies we own. Is the a bug fix or a new enhancement?

                    There isn't active pricing for the movies. They're only available from D2D or from digital copy redemption which may be the reason you can't find the movies on the site. I can ask for this as a feature request as well. Currently, the sort features are the only way you could find the movie quickly when you have a larger library.

                      Right, sort and filtering is what we have to use...but with 915 movies these tools are simply not good enough. My kids have gotten to were they would rather walk to our closet and easily find the DVD and put it in the DVD player to watch. They can do that faster than they can find a movie (unless the movie begins with the letter 'A', 'B', or 'C').

                        The Island does display the Video/Audio quality details through the VUDU app on my Roku 3. On my PC browser I can download or watch HDX however video details are missing. I do wonder what the reason why may be.

                        Possible reasons:
                        1. Title not currently available for rent or sale.
                        2. Title incorrectly listed as not playable on a MAC or PC.

                          Just a few more that I found:

                          "The Mummy Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" only shows HD and SD but not HDX
                          "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" only shows SD but not HD or HDX
                          "Cellular" only shows SD but not HD or HDX
                          "Disturbia" doesn't show any video/audio quality information

                          I own all of these in HDX
