Do we qualify for 50% off when we convert 10 discs at Wal-Mart?

I apologize if this has been asked before, but I have searched the forums and do not see anything so here goes...I have about 30 DVD's that I would like to convert to HDX, but the VUDU In Home Disc to Digital app is having trouble identifying the disc. My question is, if I take these into my local Wal-Mart store, will I still qualify for the 50% off since I'm converting 10+ discs or is this exclusive to the In Home service?

    Thank you

    nope.

this program is specific to the Disc to Digital in-home application.

It is a new application and Vudu is hoping to get more usage for beta testing purposes.

Look at it this way...most of the DVDs you are converting at Walmart you probably would have to do in store anyway. The software isn't allowing as many as it used to before they started this discount.

I'm just curious, are you saying that less movies are being recognized since the update?

            When was the last update?

There are definitely titles which used to be recognized which now come up with an error.

EDIT: Here is one that I can remember:

Hard Rain Blu-ray (0-31398-11864-0) acquired on 3/31/2013 through VuduToGo now states:

This disc is not eligible for Disc to Digital, please insert another disc or try again later.

Thanks DanielH! I just remembered another title.

Megamind Blu-ray (0-97361-24664-2) acquired through VuduToGo on 01 Feb 13 now gives the following error (others have reported receiving the same error):

There was a problem while verifying this disc.

I've also experienced the same issue with less discs being recognized now. The same discs that are not recognized by the VuduToGo software, will usually work in Cinemanow and allow you to add it. I have done that with a few titles that I didn't want to have to travel to the store to do and pay the same price I would to Cinemanow since don't get the 50% off discount anyways.

A couple titles that don't work are:

The Replacement Killers - There was a problem while verifying this disc
Super Hybrid - Unable to indentify this disc

There are many more. If would need more examples I can do a few tests and list more. I think there is another thread about this issue too.

I know there are still a number of titles that aren't being recognized. We're working to resolve each problem as quickly as possible.

I can't really speak for whether titles that "used" to be recognized and are not recognized now...but my success rate since the update (when you guys changed the link for the "Convert DVDs" that no longer allow for in-store D2D) and when the 50% off for 10+ movies in Vudu ToGo started has dropped to about 50%. Before that I would say that my success rate was more like 80%.

Can anyone name one title that has been corrected? I know none of mine have been.

Based on my experience, I'd say it's a good 1% but I have no evidence to link it to having to do anything with me submitting the data through the app. As far as I know it's just a coincidence that those titles got fixed and based on the ultra low fix rate I'd say it's exactly a coincidence. However, that's just my opinion.

I sure wish Wal-Mart could just add my titles to my D2D cart and I could pay for them at home. It's hard to justify paying twice as much at Wal-Mart just because the titles are not being recognized at home. On top of that, you have to drive there and hope you get someone familiar with he process....then get a nice stamp on your discs.

I also wish HD-DVD's could be found with D2D at home. I really don't want a Wal-Mart stamp on my nice HD-DVD collection.

I have done over 100 titles since the 50% promotion started. I never did any before.
