Nice Job VUDU of putting some good movies on sale, how about more MGM's :)

In case you guys haven't noticed there is a pretty decent collection of movies on sale some as low as $5.99 HDX. Follow this link, not all of them are UV but who knows when or if MGM will ever be UV I purchased several but I already own most of the sale items but I am sure some people do not. Just wish they would put more of the movies we can't get on sale!!

I am waiting for D2D! They are hoping that many people will buy X-Men 2 and other D2D holdouts. I am tired of buying the same movies over and over...first VHS, then DVD, then Blu-ray and now digital copies.

If X-Men 2 is NEVER available for D2D then so what. I can get off my lazy you-know-what and put the disc in and watch it. I have been watching a lot of movies on DVD lately and asking myself why I am so worried about this whole digital thing. And guess what? I have not had a single buffering issues while watching DVD.

Don't get me wrong...I do like watching movies in the cloud. After all, I do have over 930 titles. It's just that I think I may be investing too much (money and time) in my digital library and it scares me when I think about what happens if Vudu goes away or we lose access to our movies in some other way. There are pros and cons to everything though.

Now if the price of X-Men 2 is $2.00 then yes, buy it!

I totally agree with this. I'm waiting for several movies (cough, cough Disney/MGM) to go D2D and UV. I won't pay more than $2 or $5 which is the rate for D2D. If it doesn't happen then I will do like you and just put the disc in. The studios have enough of my money for the same movies over and over. I don't mind paying what is reasonable and at this point if I own the DVD or Blu already then the D2D price is my final offer.

DISCLAIMER: Unless of course I have Vudu credit to use, then I'll wait for a sale for what I want and use the credit for those.

Right! I used my last credit that I received from the kind folks at Vudu on a few Disney movies. I figured that would be the only way to get them in the cloud (Vudu only of course).

I did similar with mine. It was a nice bonus and a way to get some non-uv stuff added to my vudu account.

Your points are all valid that is true. There are many people out there however that never bought the movies on disc and these sales are a good way of getting titles that are not D2D because Disney and few others suck the big one and think their titles are special! I still have not bought any Disney titles because I refuse to pay $24.99 for them. That is my line in the sand. I have bought titles out of the $7.88 blu-ray bin that I couldn't get otherwise and converted some DVD's for the $5 charge so a few extra bucks for titles that may never be available seems like a good plan for me. But not everyone is in the same proverbial boat as I am.

Is there actually a way of searching all titles for a list of everything on sale whenever you want or can you only access specific linked sale pages Vudu puts up ?

I really, really wish we could sort this list by price. It is still better than not having the sale, though.

Yeah I requested that feature to be added to the movies sort options but it has never been added. It would be very useful when you had some money to spend and wanted to look through what was a bargain.
