Aspect ratios are abominable on VUDU!!!

It has been very frustrating for me to have uploaded many movies (disc to digital) only to find that the aspect ratios of many of the films are not shown properly when viewing some of the uploaded titles...even the HDX designation)!
For example, SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS is a Cinemascope film but is severely cropped to pan & scan when viewing it on VUDU...even though my DVD of the film is correct. THE WILD BUNCH (I have the blu-ray) is also widescreen but is cropped severely when viewing on VUDU, even though my blu-ray is widescreen. There are many others.
These inexcusable modifications of the films are a detriment to the service and I will surely not recommend the service to any others. Nowhere in the verbiage regarding the service was there a mention of these aspect ratio limitations.

Pan and Scan - Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

I recently added "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" and was surprised to see the pan & scan being used for the HDX quality in Vudu. That's ironic! That title was among those films that had made the transition to full vs wide screen with the black bars on the top and bottom to keep the whole film in view.

Like the person who started this topic, I find it hard to believe that this was so terribly presented as a square screen (pan & scan) from the original wide screen (letterbox) version.

Let's hope Vudu never offers "How the West Was Won" (Cinerama).

That is a UV title. Just out of curiosity, have you tried watching it on Flixster, Target Ticket or CinemaNow?

Sadly, I have found a good number of aspect ratio problems to be limited to Vudu. The other services show them just fine
