    iTunes content to UV

I am trying to sort through the madness of digital copies and iTunes! In the last year I have purchase several seasons of TV shows and movies through iTunes. Now I see that UV is a cross platform solution (we have appleTV and Roku, iPhone and Android in our house). I understand for hard copy discs that I own I can do the disc to digital conversion, but what about the content I purchased on iTunes that is digital only? I love the the convenience of not having discs but now I am regretting having it stuck in iTunes. I have a few purchased content from Amazon, but most is iTunes.
Is there anything I can do?
    Thanks!

Not unless Apple joins the consortium. That's not likely to happen anytime soon as Apple was the one who came up with the digital storage locker idea but the studios decided to start their own competing locker system called UV.

You can count on Apple to do what's best for Apple. Right now, there's little advantage to them in joining DECE. Revenue for movies sold thru iTunes comes only to them, and they don't need to support streaming or download of movies where they are not getting the revenue. Plus, it makes i-Devices more attractive, as content you purchase from Apple will play everywhere. They have a pretty solid ecosystem.

Longer term, that view may change. If consumers don't want to be locked into the Apple walled garden, and vote with their dollars, Apple may change direction.

I wouldn't expect to see anything for years.

With UV on a trajectory for 1mil+ new users per month for the next five years, who knows.

Maybe Apple Corp. will get religion.

I'm really re-thinking my future purchases...I can't change my past ones, but purchasing through apple ties me to apple only. I want to be able to access from any device I want.

the term used for UV is "Vendor Agnostic".

That plus the 1080p, plus the D2D incentive program sealed the deal for me. I have never looked back.
