UV don't mean D2D but I see your point ... but hey baby steps. Disney + UV will be great by itself.

Here is a list of Disney UV Titles from the blu-ray.com site and their UV release dates:
            1. "Marry Poppins" (1964) - Dec. 10th
            2. "Winnie The Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year" (2002) - Nov. 5th
            3. "Mickey's Christmas Carol" (1983) - Nov. 5th
            4. "Monster's U" (2013) - Oct. 29th
            5. "Cars" (2006) - Oct. 29th
            6. "The Lone Ranger" (2013) - Oct. 15th
            7. "The Little Mermaid" (1989) - Oct. 1st
            8. "Ironman 3" (2013) - Sept. 24th
            9. "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (1993) - Sept. 10th
            10. "Peter Pan" (1953) - Aug. 20th
            11. "The Muppet Movie" (1979) - Aug. 13th
            12. "Robin Hood" (1973) - Aug. 6th
            13. "The Sword in the Stone" (1963) - Aug. 6th

Considering several of these titles are already released and are not UV, it begs the question if blu-ray.com is listing these in the UV category, but they are actually just DigitalCopy+.

I guess we will know if a press release comes out in the coming days.

However, it would explain why iTunes was dropped from DigitalCopy+ for the last three titles.

Maybe they are getting ready to announce they have joined DECE.

I am beginning to get my hopes up. It is all seeming to make sense.

tLR link actually shows a UV logo on the cover.

                LINK:
                http://www.blu-ray.com/uv/The-Lone-R...raViolet/3039/

                that is pretty damn encouraging.

                    I agree. Very encouraging.

The next milestone to confirm it would be some press release or an industry reporter confirming.

So far, google searches do not show any confirmation to the blu-ray.com classifications of the titles being UV.

If it is true, that should change in the coming days and we should have an independent confirmation or two.

This would be a major industry event that would for sure get lots of coverage in the press.

I hate to poo poo on the hope here, but I can almost guarantee this isn't going to happen. Blu-ray.com lets the members contribute submissions of movies to their database. You'd be surprised how many members post incorrect or duplicate submissions. I'm a top contributor to that database and unless that member is somehow associated to Disney's insider info he might just be trying to pad his submission score.

Sorry about that Walter but you'll see for sure on Tuesday when Peter Pan is released and not UV. I hope I'm wrong but I'm 99% sure it won't happen. We still have the 1% hope though.

Sadly, anyone can paste a UV logo on an image (that's how the Lone Ranger link looked). And, as often occurs, someone could be mistaking Vudu availability for UV availability, an easy mistake.
