Exorcist Directors Cut in this weeks HDX sale?

I would love for someone to confirm this.

The Exorcist says 7.88 for HDX, yet the only available format is SD?

Is this a mistake or not?

It's getting a re-release next Tues with a code, so it has to be HDX soon. I expect it will be fixed shortly.

The Exorcist [Director's Cut] is now available, but as of right now it is only available in SD.

The theatrical is also only available in SD, which is annoying to me considering I received this movie from a Blu-ray box set which included a UV code (Best of Warner Bros 50). If The Exorcist is ever available in HDX, I hope people who purchased this set will be upgraded to HDX for free. The also is true for Superman The Movie which came from that set.

This movie is no longer part of the sale. Tag will be removed soon. Sorry for the confusion.

It still shows up with the other movies on sale, but if you click on the title then it shows the price as 'Own in SD for $9.99.'

What's the deal VUDU? How the hell can Flixster have the HD version of this movie and you don't? I just got the 40th anniversary set, in large part because I knew there was a digital HD copy of the movie, only to find out that its ONLY redeemable through Flixster!

I also spent another 40 minutes last night at Walmart trying to educate their photo lab employees on the disc-to-digital process. I should start getting paychecks from Walmart!

I'm so frustrated with VUDU right now...

I don't think Flixster has The Exorcist in HD. In fact, I don't think Flixster offers HD yet. If your Blu-ray UV code must be redeemed via Flixster, it will be available in HDX on your linked Vudu account, except in cases like The Exorcist where the film is not available in HD. Presumably when it is available in HD for Vudu it will be upgraded to HDX for no charge, though we may have to contact support. HOWEVER, if you purchased The Exorcist in SD from Vudu, you probably won't be able to upgrade for free. If you used a redemption code from a Blu-ray, then I think they can upgrade it if it becomes available in HD.

Flixster does offer HD now. As far as I know only the Xbox can play the HD files though. They also offer HD d2d movies.

I redeemed The Exorcist Blu Ray code through Flixster. Does not show up in VUDU, or M-GO (the only other retailer that has the DC version with UV support). VUDU suggested that Flixster has the wrong ALID for the movie.

I suspect more Warner Bros shennanigans.

No, they and CinemaNow have "The Version You've Never Seen", which is a different cut.

Now Vudu is offering The Exorcist (Director's Cut) in HDX. The theatrical version is still SD-only via Vudu.

Edit: Now BOTH versions are available in HDX! My SD copy automatically upgraded to HD since I own the UV copy in HD via Flixster. This happened just a couple hours after I posted this.
