    MERGE Help...

So before I go off and start messing with UltraViolet Merge, especially since it can't be undone.

    1) When you "Merge" do new titles that are added continue to show up in Parent and Child or are the titles "Frozen" at the point of Merge so that any new titles added to the Merge child do not shown in the Merge parent?

    2) What is the limit of the number of Merge child accounts that can be added to one Merge Parent at a time?

    Thank you.

Be aware, you will probably lose the Vudu link of the Mergee, if one exists, however, all UV titles that show up on uvvu.com should transfer into the Child account (and, as the other poster indicates, on to the Parent).

So not possible to do a merge then and keep adding new title to both accounts and still have the new titles flow through after the merge.

any new titles added to the parent account, will show up in the child account, just as any new titles added to child account will be added to parent....you can add titles through either account.....

If you lose the Vudu link to UltraViolet though how will titles added to the account with the broken link to routed to the other account though after the merge. That's where I'm getting lost.

Once a UV account is merged, the receiving account is the only remaining UV account. You will no longer be able to log in to UV with the credentials of the account that is being merged, it effectively disappears.

Example: Account 1 is the account from which the merge is performed, Account 2 is the account info you provide when you click 'merge account'. After doing the merge, the only account that exists is Account 1, it should retain its Vudu link and now contain all UV content that was in Account 2.

Now, if you are trying to get two seperate UV accounts into one family account, while retaining seperate logins, you need to create a new sub-user (Child account) in your UV family, then merge Account 2 into that new child account, the user of Account 2 would then use the Child account credentials to log in, and would have to link to a Vudu/Flixster/M-Go/etc account to view the shared content. Just remember the maximum of 2 linked Vudu accounts per UV 'Family'.

Hope that makes sense. Just use caution and/or do a trial run with some accounts with only free content before doing it to an account with a large library.
