I'D like to take a crack at finding solutions to these disc read/recognize problems. VUDU has such an opportunity to really be leading this digital movie business by leaps and bounds but it just doesn't seem to care.
I completely agree with your stance on VUDU having a real opportunity to be the clear-cut industry leader when it comes to digital streaming. I use them exclusively for this already, but so many others would be happier to use their services if they would clean up errors like the ones that are currently found in their D2D system.

        Here's my latest Disc-2-Digital reject:

The Eagle (blu-ray) (The application cannot identify the disc and asks me to tell it what movie it is. This is another example of a blu-ray in the Google docs spreadsheet that shows as eligible for D2D conversion, but that fails to convert within the app itself.)

Vampires: The Turning DVD. Out of The Vampires Collection brick, this is the only one that recognizes. It is, of course, the weakest of the 3. Sucks it's the only one that recognizes. Please get the other 2 prior ones working, too. Thx!
Tommy Boy / Black Sheep (DVD). From the "Double Feature: Tommy Boy & Black Sheep" set, UPC: 0973612423-47. "There was a problem while verifying this disc." Single disc, doesn't recognize either title.
X-Files: I Want to Believe (Ultimate X-Phile Edition) Blu-Ray. UPC: 024543543787 80. Part of the X-Files: Fight the Future / I Want to Believe brick, UPC: 024543554646 80. "There was a problem while verifying this disc." Doesn't recognize either the Theatrical or Extended cut of this film, though both are included on the Blu-Ray, so one assumes it should be able to convert to both digital copies?
Anaconda DVD. UPC: 043396817593. There was a problem while verifying this disc. Doesn't recognize either side of the double-sided disc. =o\

          **Unable to Identify This Disc**

Phantasm II (DVD). UPC: 025195053594. Unable to identify this disc. (I've specified the title many times over the last year or two, but you guys still haven't updated it...)
Phantasm: OblIVion (DVD). UPC: 013131561296. Unable to identify this disc. (I've specified the title many times over the last year or two, but you guys still haven't updated it...)
Demon Knight (DVD). From the Tales From the Crypt Presents: Deadly Duo: Demon Knight & Bordello of Blood, UPC: 025192558726. Don't know that Bordello of Blood is UV yet. But it doesn't come up either on that disc... Yep, according to TargetTicket, Bordello of Blood *IS* UV, so add that one to the acquisition and "fix" list on this UPC.
F/X & F/X 2 DVD. From 2 Pack Action F/X & F/X 2 set, UPC: 011891701716. Single disc, includes both titles. Neither recognizes off this disc. Then again, I don't see f/x in "search" and f/x 2 doesn't list the UV icon... Though, when I try to identify f/x & f/x 2 via VUDU2Go, it doesn't explicitly state that they're ineligible for conversion (other titles do state that explicitly when you select them from the list).
Attack the Block (Blu-Ray). UPC: 043396387935. Unable to identify this disc. I've submitted it a few times with no effect.
Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox DVD. UPC: 883929255245. "Unable to identify this disc." When typing in the name and selecting the DVD version, it says 'ineligible' even though the movie clearly shows the UV symbol on VUDU. http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content...hpoint-Paradox

          **Multi-feature discs / sets**

The Addams Family / The Addams Family Values (2 Things Are Better Than 1 Edition) DVD. UPC: 097361181141. Includes both movies on a single disc, only recognizes as the first movie. Both are listed as UV. I own "Addams Family", but not yet "Values," when I recognize the disc it recognizes but tells me I already own this title in the highest quality available, which is true of the first film on the disc but not the second. This disc should map to BOTH titles, as with so many "double feature" discs, including double-sided "flippers".

          **Misidentified**

Space Chimps DVD. UPC: 024543533573 80. Misidentifies as "Cats & Dogs" (on both sides of double-sided disc). Still a problem... Have submitted correct title for this multiple times through VUDU2Go.
Superman vs. The Elite (Two-Disc Special Edition) DVD. UPC: 883929229307. Badly misidentified as "Esther" (some bible story flick, I think? Ugh!)...

          **Ineligible?**

An American Tail: Mystery of the Night Monster (DVD). UPC: 025192397424. States it's ineligible. But it clearly has the UV symbol in VUDU & TargetTicket. So, one would assume it should work for D2D?
An American Tail: The Treasure of Manhattan Island (DVD). UPC: 025192397523. States it's ineligible. But it clearly has the UV symbol in VUDU & TargetTicket. So, one would assume it should work for D2D?

Nope. UV does not automatically equal D2D. Particularly when it comes to newer movies and TV shows. Even some older movies are UV but not D2D yet. You have to use the D2D search engine on Vudu to see if it's available as d2d and those 2 movies are not so that's actually the opposite of what the rest of these movies in the thread are it's actually identifying them correctly and correctly stating they are not eligible.

              Another weird error I found.

Five Year Engagement-Unrated (BD and DVD) says I already own when in fact I only own the Theatrical because that's what the UV code was redeeming for when the movie came out. The weird part is the Theatrical version is not even eligible for D2D but the Unrated is.

Trying to convert Click DVD. Shows up to select HD or SD. Choose SD then gives the warning "error setting desired conversion quality, please try again". Tried trice. Also takes minutes yo bring up that it understands the disc.

Fair enough, though a silly situation... I really wish the UV standard & its supporters would get their stuff together & offer a little consistency, like clearing D2D at the same time as clearing all the other 'UV' licensing hurdles.

It's silly to have something be 'UV' but NOT be 'D2D'... C'est la vie... Just my opinion. Though probably not an opinion exclusive to me. Yeah?

Currently having same issue with Terminator 2 Extreme DVD edition (T2 Blu-Ray from anthology won't even recognize), though I swear I had recognized the DVD version prior to the recent cart fiasco after upgrade... Now it's just flickin' me crap over it after they deleted my cart. At least I managed to re-add & buy the other stuff I'd recognized and didn't end up losing any titles over it...

I just signed up for Disc to Digital yesterday and bought a $48 BD-ROM drive yesterday when I saw that every title in the "Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection" Blu-ray set is eligible for disc to digital. However, 13 of the titles failed! North By Northwest and Psycho were the only ones that worked, but I'm assuming that is because they were both released on Blu-ray a good deal of time before the Masterpiece Collection.

I've seen this particular issue listed earlier in the thread, but I can't believe it hasn't been fixed by now?!? Why does VUDU list all 15 titles as eligible when only 2 of them actually work? This was a really expensive set and VUDU shouldn't tell folks these titles are eligible when they really aren't. I wouldn't have purchased the $48 Blu-ray drive if I knew this set wasn't going to actually convert to VUDU HDX!

Does anyone know any more about the status of the titles in this set and all the titles the "Universal Classic Monsters: The Essential Collection" Blu-ray set (exact same issue)?

This is for a Moderator would love feedback on this! This Thread has been running a long time and noticed very little fixed as it comes to mapping issues. Vudu Competitors though have a much smaller catalog seems to have the mapping issues solved as it pertains to Disc to Digital. Each time you enter the information on Vudu to go when a disc is unidentified the message say they will get back to you but never do? I have spend a lot of hours sending this info in and never once been responded back to.

2nd - Is there at least one disc or pressing of a movie that Vudu has identified for Disc to Digital movies that have been earmarked for disc to digital and can you confirm that at least one works for each title?

3rd - When movies are add to Disc to Digital eligibility list, how long until you can actually use them on the Vudu to go application
i.e. Jack Reacher was released in 2012 added to the D2D eligibility list on 5/7/2013 15 months later it still does not work on the Vudu to go?? Is there any protocol or rule of thumb you can share with us on this matter?

4th- Would it be possible to post a list in this forum from the Vudu computer engineers of what mapping issues have been corrected in the past 18 months?

                              Thank you,

                              Matt
