Re: In-Home D2D Bugs - Movie not recognized / Mapping Issues

I would like to do a Disk to Digital conversion of BATMAN RETURNS. Every time I insert the disk the "insert disk to begin" window begins to spin but then the disk is ejected. Any insight?

I have the Harry Potter Complete 8-Film Collection bought from Amazon (ISBN 0-7806-7431-6) - all discs in set convert except:

Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone -- "There was a problem while verifying this disc."

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows - Part 1 -- "This disc is not eligible for Disc to Digital, please insert another disc or try again later."

Tried internal and external DVD drives, no luck.

If it is "not eligible", that isn't an error necessarily. Look on Vudu and see if it is available as a UV title and if not, it isn't..
For your purchased rental disc, I'd *ASSUME* no rental specific disc is eligible or we'd have abuse by folks renting discs and buying them for essentially nothing, which would cause this program to get shut down. Maybe if you took it in they'd let you but I wouldn't count on it.

Two additional ones to my list. Please let us know if you would like the actual disc ID vs UPC or just the name.
              1. Predator 2 - Blu-ray - (UPC) 024543589112 - There was a problem while verifying this disc. (also "There was an error reading this disc" was encountered in another drive. Plays fine).
              2. Batman - Blu-ray - (UPC) 883929029778 - Recognized incorrectly as the DVD version

This wouldn't have anything to do with Vudu. It is an issue with your drive/disk, or OS. Likely the former.

I just tried the DVD for St Trinians and it said it did not recognize the disc and asked for manual verification. It seems like anything that isn't a major Hollywood release pretty much is unrecognized.

That title was on the D2D prior to the official BD release, in March 2013, which I preordered. This title never worked so it's now going on 10 months.

Finally here are two pieces of good news:

                              1. Terminator 2 DVD and Blu is now available in D2D

                              2. I have tested the Syknet Edition Blu Ray and is works! It only maps to the Theatrical Edition in HDX, ideally it would let you choose between theatrical or Directors cut, but at least for now.....

Note: All of the following DVDs are eligible for Disc to Digital when I do a search for them on the "Disc to Digital" tab on the Vudu website. Here's what I get when I try to convert them in Vudu to Go. I'm using the Mac version of the software.

                                Incorrect title:
                                • The Trouble with Girls (1969) UPC 012569798854

Vudu to Go identifies Elvis movie as "A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master".

                                Incorrect title choices:
                                • Roberta (1935) - UPC 012569679917
                                • Flying Down to Rio (1933) - UPC 053939756821 1933
                                • Gay Divorcee (1934) - UPC 053939756920

With these three movies, Vudu to Go asks "Select the movie you would like to convert" and gives me the following as options: The Barkleys of Broadway, The Story of Vernon and Irene Castle, Shall We Dance, Top Hat, Swing Time, and Follow the Fleet
                                • The Tender Trap - (1955) - UPC 012569647473
                                • Marriage on the Rocks (1966) - UPC 085393337223

With these two movies, Vudu to Go asks "Select the movie you would like to convert" and gives me the following as options: Man with Golden Arm or Some Came running

                                Unable to identify disc

The following come up as "Unable to identify this disc":
