On June 5th, I just tried the same three films with the same result. They still need to be fixed.

After Gremlins blu-ray surprisingly worked on the first try, I tried some of the other ones that I reported last October.

I didn't see it listed as fixed, but randomly The Karate Kid Part II blu-ray now correctly maps to the HDX version. Now if only The Karate Kid (1984) was available in HDX...

None of the other 7 or so I tried has been fixed, but perhaps this represents a glimmer of hope that mapping issues are still being worked on.

Edit: It looks like Apocalypse Now blu-ray has also been fixed to give the option of Theatrical or Redux.

Re: In-Home D2D Bugs - Movie not recognized / Mapping Issues

        More that come up wrong:

Under Siege Blu Ray comes up as Under Siege DVD
Secondhand Lions Blu Ray comes up as Secondhand Lions DVD

And a really odd one, I have tried two copies of the Pleasantville Blu Ray (I have one and my mother has a region free one) and one comes up as unverifiable and the other comes up as the Pleasantville DVD)

Still slogging through my Blu Ray Collection, so I am sure I will find more as I go, but I have a question for those who have converted Blu Rays that come up as DVDs and submit for credit. Do you think vudu would have an issue if I did all of those at once? I have at least 5 of them that I have found in the last 2 days, all of them that I would love to convert and it might be a while before I could get the chance to take them into the store... (and I loathe the blank looks I get when I am forced to do it...)

          ...
Strangely enough, Speed 2: Cruise Control (DVD) is misidentified as Pleasantville. lol

This program is still nowhere near prime time, sadly. I have had TONS of bugs. The main patterns I've seen... many DVD flip discs have the verification error; sequels and remakes on DVDs and Blu-rays are too often identified as the wrong title or version within the franchise (i.e. Part 2 showing as Part 1, remake showing as original, etc.); Blu-rays are too often misidentified as DVDs; and nearly every movie that I've tried containing two versions of a movie on the same disc (i.e. Theatrical & Unrated, etc.) inevitably only identify one version to be converted despite both versions being eligible.

And most of these take so long to get fixed that if/when they are, I've already taken care of them through competitors. I tried a few support tickets early on but those proved to be mostly pointless. I know it's a large project and it can't be an easy job. But I read all the time about support tickets taking nearly a week with no replies at all for some, while others get their problems solved entirely within a couple days and before others who filed earlier have even gotten a reply. Something on the back end of the support ticket system seems screwy.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this service and it's got to be a major nightmare to get all the bugs worked out. I'm just saying it looks like it may be a while before a lot of these are ever fixed. I guess it is what it is. I still take it for sure. But I take it with all the growing pains.

          -edit-
Sorry, i went off on a total random tangent there.

I new to D2D and I successful did 36 out 50 discs, but I got message is not eligible for Disc to Digital conversion for 14 titles like

                Gremlins (DVD)
                Bridges of Madison County (DVD)
                Cider House Rules (DVD)
                English Patient (DVD)
                10 others titles...

I see them listed Disc to Digital Title List, but do only certain discs qualified?

A few months back. Mostly it was mismatched movies though. Either the wrong movies showing up or Blu Rays showing up as DVD. It was around the time Bad Grandpa was added because that was one of the mismatched movies.

In the past 6 months I got 2 winners that didn't recognize before (Goodfellas & the Craft from blu-ray) so I remember. And when they did come up it felt like I won the lottery.

How about ALL of them - I've tried others and I have had no success. It worked so good before. WTH did they do to it now??

                                (submitted to Tech Support 6/9/14)
D2D has stopped working on all my machines. I have a Win XP SP3 and a Win 8.1 64 Bit machine. Discs which are listed as available in D2D on the Vudu website, and even previous DVDs which I have successfully converted will not verify. The error message is: "There was a problem while verifying this disc." Particular discs: Moulin Rouge (converted earlier successfully), Ocean's 11 (new disc), Ocean's 12 (new disc), Ocean's 13 (new disc), Air Force One (new disc).
