Would it be possible to add a barcode scanner to help the program identifiy the movies?

Re: In-Home D2D Bugs - Movie not recognized / Mapping Issues

Unrecognized discs despite discs being in like new shape and movies listed on VUDU website as elligible for Disc to Digital:

Jack The Giant Slayer (2013) (794043157714)
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013) (02454389942680)
The Mask of Zorro Deluxe Edition (1998) (043396109353)
Fantastic 4 Rise of the Silver Surfer (02454347077950)
Planet Of The Apes 2-film collection (Rise of the Planet of the Apes + Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) - recognizes Rise of the Planet ... but not Dawn of the Planet ... (02454322774881)

I have been to 3 different Walmart stores on multiple occasions and no is ever there at the Service Desk or the Media and Electronics section who can help me convert any movies to digital. In fact most people I have encountered trying to get help at Walmart have not heard of VUDU or do not know what VUDU is all about. It would be great if these movies could be converted.

Re: In-Home D2D Bugs - Movie not recognized / Mapping Issues

Is anyone actually doing anything with these? I've reported multiple movies 2 months ago and nothing's changed. Best Buy's program for the same thing can literally detect every single movie that Vudu can't. So why is this a thing?

What is "Best Buy's program"? They used to own CinemaNow but they sold it off a long time ago...

I got Ghostbusters 1 to go, but it wouldn't recognize Ghostbusters 2.

Has anyone ever seen a disc "fixed or added" from this thread? Is there a thread of now-working (once not-working) titles?

Maybe in poor taste to say since we're on VUDU but Best Buy no longer supports that program but Cinema Now still does. Sadly (I prefer VUDU) I have used it on occasions because of the mapping issues noted here. Just did All The President's Men (dvd) and Tin Cup (dvd) on CN. Had to because VUDU was giving the classic not able to identify.

It's very rare that things get fixed. Mostly just things that read as the wrong title. They do not fix the discs that ask you to enter the title. It's been over 3 years and none of those have been fixed. Same with the double sided disc error.

I was wondering about this. This program doesn't look like it's going to be out of beta any time soon.

I just tried to D2D Office Space (blu-ray) and it was read as Super Troopers (blu-ray).

                                Weird.
