If not you should add that functionality.
Yes, when using a web browser the eGift option is listed on the movie or TV series detail page right under where it shows you own it.

But will that eGift MY copy or just buy the recipient a second copy?

In other words, it shouldn't be in my account anymore (after eGifting). Right?

I believe that since you are paying for it again, it will show up on both accounts?

You cannot egift an owned movie from your account to someone else. In other words, you cannot transfer movie viewing rights from one account to another. This is also due to contractual agreements with the studios.

Do you mean reselling a movie already purchased and in your UV or Vudu locker (transferring the UV rights to someone else)? This can't be done.

When you egift a friend for a movie or a tv show episode, do you own it as well?

No, only your friend owns the gift.

Re: How do we use egift?

Although now that you mention it, this is a nice way for someone with a new, empty UV account to say "thank you" to someone like many of us here, who have many movies and share them with family and close friends. I could see if I didn't have a collection myself but had UV access to, say, my brother-in-law's collection, I might buy movies for him as eGifts rather than buy them for myself, as then everyone on his account could share them. (Assuming they're UV-enabled.)
