will converting D2D on Vudu play on Flixster?

I signed up for a Vudu account but at my work and Vudu doesn't on there wifi but Flixster does. I want to use Vudu to convert some dvd's with a promotion i got by email for 50% off D2D with 10 or more.
before i convert a bunch of movies i just want to make sure i will be able to watch them on Flixster as well as Vudu.

short answer...yes. Slightly longer answer...Flixster doesn't have as large of a catalog as Vudu, so some movies won't work. They will show as unavailable on Flixster. Most will work, though.

For even more clarity (or to muddy the waters even more), all* movies you add through D2D will be added to your UV library. Any UV service that has rights to a movie will be able to provide them to you.

      * there are a few titles that work on D2D that aren't mapping to UV, usually a director's edition or extended cut, and I'm pretty sure the number of films to which this applies can be counted on one hand.

this has been very helpful. My other question is if i have an older dvd that is not in widescreen, when i cinvert it with D2D will it still just be standard or will it automatically convert to widescreen?

I did the same thing for a bunch of older 'formated for your TV' movies. What you get will be whatever Vudu has, most often some form of widescreen presentation. The aspect ratio Vudu presents may not be the original widescreen, it may be the 16:9 of modern TVs instead of a theatrical widescreen like 2.35:1.

With UV titles, I find I like to look at the different aspect ratios the different providers have. This only plays in for older titles. One example from my collection is "The Robe" (1953).

On Vudu, playback leaves black bars on either side in a 4:3 ratio. Target Ticket too. M-go has it at 16:9.

For 99% of my titles, I prefer Vudu's playback. It is nice for there to be options with other UV providers though.

D2D is not converting or copying or ripping the disc. It is basically proving you have the disc in order to sell you a key to Vudu's licensed copy of the movie at a discount, which will not be exactly the same transfer as yours (as evidenced by the fact that you can use your DVD and pay $5 to get access to Vudu's Blu-ray quality HDX transfers).

A small distinction, but one that has confused a lot of people new to D2D.
