    How to get these?

I have the blu-ray's but I have no idea how to get D2D for any of these. Are they only available using DVD versions or something?

    Horrible Bosses (unrated)
    American Gangster (Unrated)
    Blade Runner - theatrical/director's cut
    Role Models (Theatrical)
    World War Z (unrated)

All of these titles appear to be available in blu-ray for D2D. What problem are you having getting them converted?

In my experience the only way to get these D2D is to make your list, check it twice & go to the nearest Walmart. That was how I was able to get them converted, even though I had the unrated or director's versions, the VUDUToGo (at home conversion) did not recognize them as such, i.e. unrated/director's version.

If you have difficulties at Walmart with the process, in other words the folks there are mystified by the process, see the store manager. I have trained the local store manager as well as 2 or 3 associates in my quest to convert discs to digital. Per the manager, and this is a fairly large Walmart (SuperStore), I am about the only soul that does this here.

All else fails, take the VUDU support number with you and they can possibly assist the associate in the process. Good Luck.

The discs don't give you the versions I'm looking for. You get no choice.

Sometimes, the DVD versions are mapped to alternate versions, for some reason. This program makes no sense.

For Horrible Bosses-Totally Inappropriate edition there is a redeem code page now. You may be able to get Vudu or Flixster to switch it over to the correct version if you have proof (pictures of the code sheet and movie) depending on where you originally redeemed the code (if you redeemed a code for it). I had an unused code sheet from when I purchased the combo for cheap recently and it would only redeem under the theatrical version. I contacted flixster with a picture of the code and blu ray box showing it came with the Totally Inappropriate edition and they manually added it to my account.

Does Vudu have the versions you're looking for listed in their catalog? Are they UV? Are they specifically included in the D2D list? I see World War Z (Unrated) is on the list, but Horrible Bosses only has the theatrical (no designation, so I'm guessing that's the default) and the "Totally Inappropriate Edition" listed. Are you saying your editions that are showing up on the D2D list are being recognized as something else? That wouldn't be surprising, considering the issues that exist identifying discs in general.

Like I said in the original post, you're not given the option of which version you want to upgrade. I typically like to do both/all. So I was wondering how people were getting these versions since they're all listed as being a part of the D2D but you're not allowed to get them through it, using the blu-ray.

You would be able to get the other version using the in-store D2D at WM.

So, to answer your original question, take them to a WM photo counter. And to address your adenda:

                    1. Drive to NJ
                    2. Suck it up (comes off with a little rubbing alcohol)
                    3. It's over this month anyway

I agree that at the least, the correct version should be identified. If you want to get multiple versions using the same disc (ie, if it has both theatrical/director's cut on one disc) I think you should get an option of the available formats, assuming they match what Vudu has (better yet, one price for both cuts on a single disc), however, there is no reason for Vudu to let you get a version for which you have no disc (I think this was not your issue).

Again, I primarily blame the DB service Vudu chose, as the other providers seem to do much better at identfying discs.

No car. New Yorkers don't have cars.
