    UVVU Website Issues

In my ultraviolet collection on uvvu.com, I can only see 60 out of 550 movies. About 20 of these movies have 10 copies of each, and they are only films that I have purchased since October. Is anyone else having this issue? I hope this gets fixed, as of now I can't verify my collection, but they all show up in vudu.

I've been having the same problem for a few weeks, but I get more than 60 movies. Not sure exactly how many, but my count on the UV website is more than double my Vudu count due to all the dups. Many of the ones I converted a long time ago appear without dups, but all the recent stuff has 10 or more dups.

I'm not too worried about it. When I get a new UV film via Vudu, I check Flixster or Cinema Now to be sure it carries all the way through to another provider.

Yes, this has been going on since around the beginning of November and is also being talked about on this thread.

Ditto and then some. Out of a UV title count (not counting TV seasons) for movies of 1,110 titles, the VUDU UV only purchase, redemption & D2D activity reflects 2,068 titles attributable to VUDU in UV (some of this maybe TV, but I have nowhere near that many TV titles, seasons or episodes in VUDU). So this math is more than a little "fuzzy".

As an example I have 22 duplicates of "Executive Decision", this seems to be repeated in a "22 duplicates" sequence of duplicate titles throughout the library of UV titles.

Like 22 duplicates of "Fat Man & Little Boy", 22 duplicates of just about everything under the sun. To top it off, there are huge blocks of titles in the alphabetic sequences missing. Does not matter how I acquired them, some are VUDU acquisitions, some other services & some D2D conversions with VUDU & other services. There is no common factor to this mess. None of this appears to be attributable to initial conversion of the title to SD, then up converting to HDX, they were all converted initially as HDX. I am totally mystified.....but, not amused.

Trying to live with it, as long as the other services pull the UV titles through and VUDU continues to pull the UV titles through I am not going to call UV and mess with the issue. My concern is that they will further complicate and discombobulate the existing mess, resulting in a loss of titles in my library. My trust factor has seriously eroded.....

I might add in postscript, that, VUDU remains the go to choice for me for viewing, redemption, conversion, etc... . Their reliability is exceptional!!!!!

Same problem and uvvu.com has the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. It's almost as bad as the site, which has always been buggy and absurdly slow.

I agree, in fact I didn't know that they has a "customer service".

I have often wondered what would happen if we somehow lost access to our UV locker. This whole process is nice when it works, but what about when it doesn't. Are we putting too much trust in technology? What happens if UV fails or is replaced with something "better"? Will we loose all our movies?

I think these are valid questions and most likely the fear of many people who are holding out on using UltraViolet. And the problem is that there isn't an UltraViolet body stepping up to address this and there still seem to be studios working against UV.

It's frustrating to see how SLOW things happen in the UltraViolet world! Was it this way with iTunes? I guess it was, I also do remember when Blu-rays started coming out. It was years before there were enough titles to make me start considering buying Blu-rays and they are still releasing older movies for the first time on Blu-ray. I would feel better if I saw a stronger commitment to UV by ALL the studios and if UV would be more active in building a stronger future...starting with fixing their website and making sure that when a studio makes their movies UV that ALL retailers and services get the news and not just one or two.

Yea there is really no foundation for the UV system. It's entirely reliant on the services the content is licensed to. It's kind of worrisome.

I can't have my Ultraviolet locked fixed, and frequent content issues with streaming services are rarely fixed. Fingers are generally pointed to other services or studios, or worse, tickets are ignored.
