Re: Avengers Marvel titles coming to UV or Digital Copy+!?!?!?!?!

Personally, I do not think any change is imminent. Thor #2 is still going to be the same $23 that all Disney titles carry. As I understand it, it has to do with them not being in DECE and the associated costs in doing it their way.

Looking forward, I think Malificent will be the first Disney movie that is UV. Just speculation, but seems reasonable that by the time that title makes its way into package media for home use, the demand for UV will be too great to release the title without.

It would be like releasing a Betamax after all the other studios are only doing VHS.

Yeah that was an over-excited typo on my part

I saw more Iron Man titles and thought Iron Man 1 was on there and it wasn't. Sorry about that.

When you say you got yours, what do you mean? Did you buy them recently or are you redeeming using codes from an old purchase? If you just bought them, where was it? Any details you can give would help, since we're trying to figure out why these redeem pages are starting to pop up.

On the new titles it is "Digital Copy" which is BS but slightly less BS as you can choose a few other providers that aren't Apple. But it is still locked to that provider, it isn't a UV copy. And some of these types of 'digital copies' title don't even have all the same store options.

Where did you redeem it, do you remember? Vudu? Paramount? Digital Copy +?

So wait...the new Disney releases of Iron Man 2, Thor & Capt. America that came out in Sept let you redeem on VUDU?

Can you check the case and see if it has any Buena Vista markings on there or if it just says Paramount?

Ok. So I'm the a$$hole who thought that maybe the Sept 2013 re-releases would work for Vudu. Turns out they don't. I only tried IM2 (it was the cheapest in my area) and it didn't work when I tried directly on Vudu and on Disney's DC+ website. I'm leaning towards a Wal-mart specific promo that comes out closer to the release of Thor 2. If anyone has any concrete info it'd be greatly appreciated.
