    Re: Robocop just went UV

I just redeemed a code for Robocop last night that I bought from Walmart. They have Robocop in there $7.88 bin that has the UV codes with them, that is probably why we are seeing Robocop being UV now.

Not quite and not new. Robocop has been in the $7.88 bin forever. It was also bundled with Terminator in $7.88 bin. I got this more than a year ago from Walmart with VUDU code. So, UV on a MGM title is new and a big deal.

$7.88 bin is blu rays. $5 bin is DVDs. At least at my Walmart.

Finally found a copy at Wal Mart with the Vudu sticker still on it, redeemed it yesterday and while it is on Vudu it says it is un-available on Flixster so I would guess it is not UV yet.

Actually, in that case it *IS* a UV title; it's Flixster that doesn't carry it. If it wasn't a UV title, your Vudu redemption wouldn't appear on Flixster at all.

Does not show up in my collection at the UV site, or on Target Ticket or MGO on my Roku.

                  Re: Robocop just went UV

Shows up in my MGo, not in TT, strangely enough shows up in my UV locker (broken sad thing that it is), shows up in Flixster, and not in CinemaNow.

So, in Flixster and MGo, it will not play/stream, it is just in the list of UV titles (check Flixster at the very end of the titles that is where all of the non-playable/streamable titles reside). Suspect they do not have the UV license yet.

MGo is pretty good about showing all of my titles, but a vast number of them will not play/stream for what ever reason. CinemaNow mimics Flixster, if they do not have it available for streaming, it generally (not always) just does not show up in CinemaNow at all. As for TT, not sure what the issue there is, TT seems to be outside of the box in many cases. Titles that I do not expect to show up in TT do and titles that I expect to show up in TT do not, go figure (shrug).

Frankly I rely on VUDU to be the most accurate and reliable representation of what my UV titles are. VUDU has by far the best results across the board.

They definitely have the best selection of movies. Only 11 of my 689 titles don't appear, but they are sorely lacking in the TV department (thanks to Warner ). Only 32 of the 60 TV seasons I have show up.

                      Re: Robocop just went UV

OK I will bite, which 11 do not show up? So far the ones that I have experienced, like "Addams Family", "Bird", extended versions of Harry Potter have shown up after time and now populate in VUDU as well as the service that I originally D2D'd them on.

As for the TV issues, me TOO, very disconcerting that the very studio that promoted, and pushed the development of UV is not participating with their own TV media. However, it may be a "rights" problem, who knows who, may have to have a say in the process of making them UV accessible? But, I sure own enough of it, not in VUDU, but in DVD, Blu-Ray format, and with another service that has a little better selection than VUDU in the TV media. It would be just wonderful if soon the D2D would open up on the TV series that are no longer prime time, or for that matter even on air these days. Everything that I own TV would then go into the D2D process and be in one place. I guess the old adage applies "if wishes were horses, then beggars would ride"

I still stand by the original premise, VUDU reflects over all and provides overall the best service for representing my existing UV catalog and streaming it. VUDU is miles ahead of the other services on these issues, and is heads above the other services in customer service as well.

Behind the Candelabra, Game Change and Clear History; although these are HBO movies so I guess they could be considered TV.

Blood Work and Mars Attacks!, which are not encoded for Roku apparently.

In the Bedroom, also a known content issue.

The Hangover (Unrated), Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit, The Wolverine (Extended), Watchmen (Ultimate Cut). All from other services but do not import.

Just 10 since they added Harry Potter extended :-)

Re: Robocop just went UV/Can't Find it anywhere

I have been seeking out this UV RoboCop Blu-Ray for weeks (since it was first mentioned on here) and am coming up with nothing.

I notice that Walmart.com is showing two versions of RoboCop on the website. One is available now for about 16.00. But there is also one for PRE-ORDER for 12.00. The pre-order RoboCop says that it's going to be released on 5/20/14.

Could this be the UV version? Maybe it's not out yet, and the few that have been found and bought simply leaked early?

                          Any guesses?

Just checked my wishlist and none of the MGM titles are UV yet. Wonder what the hold up is? 10 or 11 UV titles in a year and half. Hopefully they are speeding things up....
