Weird Warner Bros/DC Comics Disc to Digital quirks: Superman II & Watchmen

So I'm making a Disc to Digital list to take to Walmart. Two of the Blu-Ray titles I want to convert are 'Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut' & 'Watchmen: The Director's Cut'. Here is what's

Superman II: The Donner Cut is a Blu-Ray, but disc to digital will only let me convert it to SD, not HD or HDX. WHY?? It's a blu-Ray, so It's clearly available in HD.

Watchmen: The Director's Cut blu-Ray onlY converts to the theatrical cut -- and I think this is in error! When you type in 'Watchmen', you're given five options:

    1. Watchmen Blu-Ray 2009
    2. Watchmen 2009
    3. Watchmen (Theatrical) Blu-Ray 2009
    4. Watchmen (Theatrical) 2009
    5. Watchmen 2009

Now clearly I'm not going to choose options 3 or 4, because it's NOT the theatrical cut. So I chose option 1. Except it still comes up as the theatrical cut when you choose it!! Now please note that options 2 and 5 appear to be the same....but they aren't. If you choose option 2, it's the theatrical cut. If you choose option 5, it's the Director's Cut....but a DVD version so I would have to pay 5.00 instead of 2.00 to get an HD version despite the fact that I clearly have the blu-Ray !!

I think option 1 is supposed to lead to an HD Director's Cut, but a mistake was made along the way.

Superman 2 the Donner Cut is not available in HDX. If there is a blu ray available but no HD copy Vudu will still list it in case you want to get the SD copy you can still use the Blu Ray. That way if you really want it now in SD you are not out of luck if you don't own the DVD. It's pretty common actually. I've had quite a few Blu Rays only give me the option for SD because that's all Vudu has right now.

The Watchmen issue is of the more immediate concern as I'm going to Walmart right after work. I'm thinking ill use the non-theatrical blu-Ray option in store. I just hope it actually unlocks the directors cut, and not the theatrical as it claims to.

No, it will unlock the theatrical, that's what comes up with the first option. For some reason some movies don't have Bluray as an option for the conversion source. Maybe they will count the bluray as a dvd at walmart, but it will cost you $5 unless they cut you a break.
