Does the Disc to Digital HD option mean HDX?

When using VUDU To Go, does the $5 HD option (for DVDs) give me HD or HDX? I'd prefer getting HDX if they're going to be the same price, so I don't want to pay for anything unless I know it's HDX or I have a free upgrade to HDX.

It means HDX most of the time. There were a few rare cases of movies only being available in HD on Vudu. Once vudu got HDX they upgraded because choosing the $5 HD option gives you an HD copy in your UV library at UVVU.com. Vudu reads those as HDX if available. I know Born of the 4th Of July used to be HD only on Vudu. When it became HDX on vudu my copy became HDX on all linked accounts to UVVU.

If you are willing to unlink and relink your library it should give you HDX now. The same things happened to me when I used codes for pre-uv fox titles (Get the Gringo, 3 Stooges). My main account showed them as HD after they were UV enabled but my roommate and mom's accounts both showed them HDX after they became UV. I'm not sure if you used a code to get that movie but I remember there was a code for it pre-UV that came with Walmart copies.

I was able to get a vudu rep to re-add them to my account so they would show HDX (i'm not willing to unlink based on other's horror stories), but they were hesitant to do it. Your mileage may vary.
