    I didn't call the guy an idiot for following directions, as I knew that's what he was going to do. As you can read in my post, I'm calling him an idiot for ruining my DVD with the ink from the stamp, rendering that side of the disc unplayable. He knew what he did, and instead of him either wiping the ink off or apologizing for what he did, he simply closed the case and handed the movies that he converted back to me. So why is he not an idiot for doing this? What was so "fair" about what he did? Where was his integrity? You're defending him as if he did nothing wrong. Like I said, I didn't call him an idiot for following standard procedures, he's an idiot for knowingly damaging my property and not having the decency to apologize or let me know what he did. I didn't realize the ink until after the fact, so complaining to the manager at that point would be useless, cause how can I prove what happened a day later? It would be my word against his!

      I've worked retain customer service. It's not easy and sometimes customers are unfair to the employees and expect too much of them. However when I worked in customer service, I tried to offer the best customer service that I could and tried very hard to make sure the customer went home happy. I've also received awful customer service as the customer. It's nice that you want to stand up the the customer service rep, but someone also needs to stand up for the customer. The intent of the stamp is certainly not to make the Disc unplayable. In this case, that is what happened and the customer has every right to be angry.
      Thank you Capt Cupcake for understanding my position. I'm not the type to give employees a hard time, but I expect that when they make a mistake, be man or woman enough to admit that mistake. He damaged my movie by spilling the ink from the stamp on it, and he knew that he did it, but instead of wiping it off or alerting me to the situation, he deceived me by closing the case and acting as if everything was all good. No integrity, and a total lack of honesty!
